Speaking of my personal experience dining in a lot of hot pot places around Southeast Asia and China, this place is unfortunately lacking in terms of taste and quality.

Compared to their competitor (e.g. HDL) their price isnt much cheaper. Which isnt an issue if they have the quality to match.

Most of the food came out frozen and the pork kidney has a particular smell (which is typical of pork kidneys that were not processed with rice wine).

They did give me an apron mid way through the meal which i appreciate. But the apron is too thin and the soup still got through to my shirt.

Soup base needs ton of improvement. The mala needs to have more spice in it for a stronger authentic taste. The pork bone soup however is pretty good but the additional soup after doesnt have the same level of richness.

Team looks understaffed. But response on whatsapp is amazing. Additional 1 star...

I've got to say that this is the best Shu Guo branch I have visited so far. Great service from the team members. They move swiftly to attend to customers' every need. Food's excellent. I come here almost once a week now.

Yuni and Mega were outstanding. 10/10 service level. The manager here know his/her ship.

Updated 3 June 2023: Wow, their service team is definitely on top of their game. The Hong Kong noodle came out all-lumped and soft. I casually told the gentlemen who brought it out that it looks different. He didn't say anything and left. But five seconds later the (I would assume) captain came over and he said. Let me change it for you. He came back shortly with a proper Hong Kong noodle. To date im still very impressed with their service level. I would say, they are on par with Union Group. The food here is delicious, with plenty of soup options to choose from. One downside is that the condiments at the counter are not as complete compared to other hotpot places.

Price-wise, it’s definitely on the premium side. But to be fair, the ingredients and overall quality also feel premium. The staff were helpful and guided us well during the ordering process.

One thing that could be improved is the menu book. It doesn’t have pictures, so we couldn’t visualize what the dishes look like or how big the portions are. We had to rely on the waiter’s explanation.
