Open mics: They host open mics every Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evening. Sunday’s and Monday’s open mics were very much packed with performers and audiences when I went, which made the performing experience feel more watched but the crowds tended to be less attentive and louder as the night went on. Wednesday’s open mic was a lot more relaxed with fewer participants, but the host Chris and the people there were just as supportive as the other two (when the night isn’t too deep, at least 😝). There’s almost always some musicians jamming on the ground floor while the open mic is happening in the basement, which makes it a little distracting to be listening to the performance or to be performing. The wooden stairs to the basement also make lots of noise whenever someone’s walking, which causes some distraction too. But overall, my experience here has been nice, as I’ve met and seen lots of local/international talents here! Thank you International Bar for keeping these open mics running :)

Space: There are bathrooms on the ground floor. Ladies’ room (there’s only one) was small and hard to get to, as there were two doors right by each other that you had to open one after another to get in/out. The ladies’ room in the basement, which is where the open mics are at, was not very clean, and it was often hard to flush. No...

Cool local dive with a thriving spoken-word night on Mondays, and live music. Everyone knows everyone already [which makes it a bit of a scene], but the open mic was packed and performances were heartfelt. Poetry happens downstairs, and seating is limited - so arrive early if you plan to participate, and look alive for signups if you'd like stage time. 5 minutes max, and there are lots of folks who want to join - so respect the time. Guitar jam and sing-alongs happen upstairs, so if you can't find a seat, you'll still be in good company. Vibe is casual and reasonably friendly. I rated the bar lower than standard because staff charged me higher rates for drinks, prior to the arrival of my...

Good spot, small area when you go in but has downstairs seating, outside and upstairs. Upstairs hosts comedy night most of the nights and booking ahead on Friday/Saturday is recommended as I've been there and it's sold out at the door. Been to the comedy nights over 5x times and they are always good as they have several comedians on and rotate them so you usually don't run into the same comedians.

They also do food but basic stuff like toasty or stew.

Even though it's in the middle of town it's very local and hasn't been made a tourist rip off, so prices are still very reasonable (as much as they can be). Worth a visit.

Great craic and a nice place to...

Beautiful historical bar located in the heart of Dublin, best pints of Guinness I had while in the city, friendly efficient staff, nice Dublin stew available and toasted sandwiches at good prices and taste great, this bar has a comedy night every night, upstairs stand up comedy, admission fee between five euros and ten depending on how many people etc, downstairs in this pub I found a really nice jazz quartet playing to a small audience.. While the main floor directly accessible from the street is busy with people coming and going it's well worth a visit,... Ref photos sorry two of those photos were of the bar the bar the long hall. Will delete later,

Absolutely loved this little gem of a pub in Dublin! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with Pub music that perfectly complements the setting. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the community from the moment you walk in. Greetings to Ian and His Guys, from Germany! The drink prices are very reasonable, and the service is prompt and attentive. What really sets this pub apart, though, is the attention to detail in the decor - it's clear that the owners have put their heart and soul into creating a truly special place. If you're looking for an authentic Irish pub experience, look no further. Highly recommended!
