I cannot say in words how amazing the food was here. Firstly food, the food was spectacular. We ordered Dimsums, Pad Khai Mao, a Chicken and Ginger thing and Nasi Goreng. Best part was that the food was customisable according to your needs and preferences. The taste was amazing. I can say it with confidence the best food I have had in Ireland in the 3 years. It was very flavourful and full of spice. The spice ratings were accurate and the Pad Khai Mao was so spicy; I enjoyed it in fairness cuz I love the spice The service was great! The servers and waitresses were kind and humble. One of the servers made a mistake with our order; but was extremely sorry and apologetic for that. She didn’t force the food on us but reordered it as we wanted. It took merely a moment and our experience was uninterrupted. A great job to the sweet and lovely staff of Red Torch. The ambience was nice; the chairs and tables were neat and clean. Some areas of the restaurants were slightly dusty or dirty like under the lights by the walls and there was a single fly in there; which I wouldn’t blame anyone. It was there, but not very disruptive. Overall the area was dimly decorated which enhanced the private consolidated experience. The noise was surely a bit of an issue with me not being able to hear the person at the opposite end of the table; however again it isn’t anything that can be managed by the management. I would definitely visit here again, and the Thai food didn’t let us down! First and random try in the restaurant and I can say that this restaurant has brought hope in all the other restaurants in Ireland. A shining star in a night sky!!

The location is great, right on St. Andrew street in the Temple bar area. Very touristy corner restaurant. It’s identified as Thai food, but it seemed more like Asian fusion. We went in around 4:30 pm, very early for dinner. The owner/hostess (I assume the older lady was the owner) wasn’t accommodating. Although plenty of tables available, she refused to give us a window table. She simply said no without explanation and even told us we had to finish our dinner by 6 pm. It’s the first time we’ve heard a time requirement for dinner in Dublin. The waitress was nice and pleasant. All waitstaff worked very hard. It was a quiet atmosphere. The food was ordinary and the prices were modest. We ordered: 3*Tom Yum soup: hot and sour soup with lots of vegetables and an overwhelming taste. 4*Coconut and Sriracha chicken wings: 6 tasty chicken wings. Very good and delicious. 3*Red Torch Ginger COMBO included two pieces each of: Chicken Satay, Pork Belly, Thai Samosas, Panko Prawns, and Pork Wontons. Nice arrangement and presentation, but the food was mostly bland and ordinary. All except satay relied heavily on the sweet and spicy sauce. The portions were generous. 3*Crisp Duck Salad - Sliced crispy duck breast mixed with peppers, onions, carrots, cherry tomatoes cucumber coriander & spring onion, and hot & sour Dressing: lots of onions, a bit too much.

We had an amazing time experiencing Thai cuisine at this restaurant. As fans of Sri Lankan cuisine, we found the flavors to be delightfully familiar, especially with the prominent use of coconut milk. We’ve ordered takeaways from this place via Deliveroo before, but dining in was an even better experience—no regrets at all! The food was exceptionally fresh, bursting with vibrant flavors. The sea bass with chili and lime was outstanding, and my wife’s Thai red curry, our usual takeaway favorite, was just as delicious in-house. We also loved the mango sidecar cocktail with chili and lime—such a unique combination that paired perfectly with the meal. The service was equally impressive. The lady manager was so cool and polite, making us feel very welcome. She recommended a passion fruit mocktail after seeing my interest in a fancy cocktail being made at the bar. It was a lovely suggestion that added a special touch to the meal. The only minor downside was being seated at a high chair table, which we aren’t big fans of, but it didn’t detract much from the overall experience. The place is quite busy, so I’d recommend booking ahead. A must-visit for Thai cuisine lovers!

Due to moving back to the UK from USA I have waited almost ten years to visit a Thai restaurant. Schooled by a special Thai chef in NYC I have been able to replicate Thai recipes. I was on a trip to Dublin reuniting with old friends. Just happened to be wandering and found Red Torch Ginger. "Shall we have lunch here" "Hell yes". In we go ten minutes before lunch service. Seated at the bar with a Singa and the menu I was a happy bunny. The owner took the time to sit and chat with us. Storm Ophelia has just passed through so we did what us Celts do we discussed the weather and the craic. Once seated we decided on the lunch special. I knew from the offset I was in for a great exoerience. The team were attentive and had a great sense of humor. We chose a selection of starters which were tastefully presented and delicious. Main course of Massaman and Pad Thai were a perfect choice. We shared, we chatted and enjoyed catching up on 38 years since we last ate Thai food together. Even though the restaurant became busier the team were right there. Portions were perfect!! What made the visit so special were the team. Each member made it memorable. Cannot wait to return again one day. Highly recommenable. Thank you all for bringing back...
