The bar serves up a variety of drinks, with two specialties standing out: traditional Irish coffee and Guinness. The Irish coffee is expertly crafted, with smooth whiskey, rich black coffee, and a layer of velvety cream on top. The Guinness, poured with care, has that signature thick, creamy head and deep, robust flavor that Dublin is known for. Outside, the seating area has a rustic feel, with beer barrels repurposed as tables and sturdy wooden stools. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a drink while soaking in the lively street scene or catching some fresh air. The combination of warm interiors and the casual outdoor setup gives the pub a quintessentially Irish feel.

We spent most of New Years Eve here after we've been to a couple of pubs previously. We decided to stay here as the atmosphere was lovely and very friendly. We sat at the bar for most of the night and we had quite a few drinks. Pricing is very affordable compared to a lot of the pubs. The Five Lamps lager was lovely! Oh, and the friendly older bartender working on New Year's Eve was impressive as he could remember what we were drinking all the time!

A historic Dublin Pub long asdociated with Irish Revolutionary and military leader Michael Collins. Set on a corner of very busy social junction where the traveller is spoiled for choice. This pub has everything, history, culture, heritage, a nice mix of traveller and local socialiser. An unassuming pub where conversation is key. Beverages are not excessive, served with a smile and if you want a bite to it, its good stuff too.

I am editing this review to include a recent visit. The Web states the pub opens at 12noon on Sunday. I arrived a little after noon & the pub was closed. There were quite a few people outside waiting to get in. Two English tourists had been recommended to have Sunday lunch there. I saw someone inside, I knocked on the door & was Ignored. A bit later I knocked again, I asked if they were going to open, the individual shook his head as if to say no. To make a long story short, most outside left to go to other places. The door was unlocked at 12:30pm, when I complained I was told " the manager says opening time is 12:30pm on Sunday". I said that they should have had the courtesy to let those outside know this since the web shows a different time. I found the attitude quite disappointing. Previous Review: Lovely Lovely old pub..great atmosphere. Everyone willing to converse with you. The staff are incredibly efficient even when it's busy..which is most of the time. The ladies room is located on the 1st floor so it's a keeper in my mind. I will always stop in when I am...

One of the nicest folks you'll ever meet! The staff is super friendly and welcoming! Where would find the owner calling a different restaurant for a customer to see if they're serving dinner late?!? And to top it off, even remembered what we were looking to eat and asks us about it when we returned! Customer and relationship building at it's finest! I would go there again the next time I'm in Dublin! Also got to try a few different drinks - the Irish flag (shot) and 'Guinness and Black'! My family is hooked to the Guinness and Black!! Can't have...
