We came here to celebrate a 30th birthday and what a great place to come celebrate. Every fine detail here from the place settings to the food and staff was brilliant. If you want to feel a wealth of excellence and the warm friendly banter of the staff, this is the place to come or take someone special. I wouldn't say this place is a casual dining experience, this really the perfect place for those special occasions. It is a treat on all the senses. You have a feel of everything being under control under the ever watchful eye from the naturally friendly front of house manager, who seems to break down any of those social wooden barriers you see in films from the 90's off really high end restaurants. So if you have ever walked past this place and felt intimidated by the opulence don't be they are all as welcoming as your Gran meeting your friends. I mention this because my girlfriends mother's told me that since she was 16 she had wanted to go in but never got the courage until it was her 60th! So don't wait just go the food is a spectacular. I enjoyed the chicken liver pate for starters and as always I could never have enough pate. My only gripe is there wasn't enough bread for the pate. I then went on to have the chateaubriand. This is and currently is the only chateaubriand I have had to date so I don't really have much to measure it against, but it was phenomenal! I could use the back of my spoon to cut into it it was that soft and a delicate. Thinking about it now makes my gums ache and mouth water! If I had the money I would come here every night. Do yourself a favor and come to this fine establishment! There is a reason that it's still open after nearly 60 years.

recently dined at your restaurant to celebrate a special occasion our anniversary after receiving a recommendation from a colleague. Unfortunately, I regret to say that I cannot recommend the experience to my friends, family, or colleagues. Firstly, I informed the staff that I cannot eat raw onions, yet I was served a dish containing raw shallots. This reflects a lack of attention to dietary needs and knowledge of the ingredients being served. Secondly, while I appreciate that our cocktails were waived, I must express that the quality was very disappointing. As someone who has dined in many countries, I found the drinks to be bland, tasteless, and lacking any distinct flavour. Even the staff seemed aware that the cocktails were not up to standard, which is quite concerning. Thirdly, I felt there was a lack of communication from the team throughout our visit. I was not informed that a cocktail was being waived something I only noticed on the bill. Whether or not I was charged is not the issue, but rather the absence of transparent and empathetic communication. Overall, I left feeling disappointed. I hope you take this feedback as an opportunity to better understand your guests’ perspectives, improve communication, and ensure your team has stronger product knowledge moving forward. + Please do not order the Ratatouille. It’s just some vegetables with tomato paste and other random ingredients. I don’t recommend it you’re better off paying a bit more for something else

I don't get how this restaurant has such a high grade. The atmosphere is pleasant and cosy but can be a bit noisy at peak. The service was... varied. There are 3 or 4 waiters taking care of you, some being average, some pretty good. I came here because the food sounded promising form the menu. That's what really disappointed me. I had scallops for starters. They were pretty small and honestly not tasty as one would expect. Also the portion was ridiculous. Check the picture attached to that review. Then I had a sirloin steak as main course. It was somewhat tender but I had to ditch a fifth of it because of nerves or fat (I admit I am picky though, YMMV). It came with a potato mash which was ok. The thing I enjoyed the most was the side green vegetables dish I had to pay extra. The wine was good. They have maybe 10 whites and 20 reds from various places, most of them by the glass

My wife and I entered the Trocadero Restaurant around 8 o'clock on Saturday night – in the middle of the rush. We got told to there were ni chance for a table, bust asked to try again in about an hour. When we arrived again, an hour later, we first got rejected again due to no available seats, but our new friend Robert, the Maître d'hôtel, recognised us and "created" an available table for us. He also joined us for a short chat, and we told him our travel plans, and he told us about the restaurant's history as well as some personal stories.

We order the scallops to share for starters, which were really good! Then Robert came back and treated us of the pâté, which his sister is making, and It. Was. Amazing! Best pâté I've ever tasted! For main course we had the monkfish and the duck leg, which both were super good! The food was truly amazing and it was a really cozy and friendly atmosphere.

I want to give my warmest thanks to Robert, and his warm welcome and company, on our first night out in Dublin, on our first visit in Ireland. It is now a memory we'll treasure for a long time. Thank you so much for the amazing food and your friendly company. This place is highly recommended, and you will truly miss out if you...
