Mary's Bar & Hardware — Restaurant in Dublin

Poor choice of hardware available.

Shockingly bad service and very unhelpful and rude staff. Sat down and waited for 20 mins for service eventually had to raise my hand and say exucse me. Only three other people downstairs with pints already and there was a lady running about behind the bar and all definitely just ignored us or fained ignorance.

Then some lady walked in and said she had lost her bag the night before and the bar tender basically just said no to the question did you see it. Didn't even move an inch as she said it. Or go to check or ask someone.

She could have pretended to look at least I mean ods are she wasn't even working the late shift last night as it was roughly 12 when we got there and by law you have to have 12 hours between the end of a shift and the start of another. Just seeing that interaction rubbed me the wrong way.

Used to love Mary's 4 years ago and go there every chance I got. I'd understand the service and shortness of the response the lost bag lady got if the place was busy but it was midday and not busy.

The good stuff though is still good, fair priced pints and wow burger is impressive. Atmosphere is a bit over the top and kitsch but downstairs and the snug is nice and comfy with low lighting. Would recommend sitting downstairs.

Judging by some of the other reviews on here and the attitude of the staff the management must be awful. You'll keep loosing regulars with this attitude and way...

This was our first time at Mary's Bar and we ordered some burgers and fries to have with our drinks. What the waiter failed to inform us what that it was self-service and we would have to go and collect our food once our order number was shouted our from the hatch.

We sat there for half an hour waiting for our food - we were seated close to the bar so plenty of times the waiter who had taken our order could have approached us to let us know that it was self-service. When I approached the bar to chase our order, the waitress in question did not even apologise and was exceptionally rude and dismissive.

I went over to collect our food from the hatch which as you can imagine was cold at this point. We realised we wouldn't have heard our order number being shouted from where we were sat even if we had been informed it was self-service! A simple apology from the staff wouldn't have gone amiss - especially given the eye watering prices of the food. Safe to say we will be steering well clear of Mary's Bar when visiting...

If I could give it 0 I would. We arrived at 5 to 6 , our booking was at 6. When we arrived weren’t shown to our table and we had to look for it I had to ask for help and the bar tender rolled his eyes. He then pointed to a corner and I had to once again look for the table by myself. Me and my friends each went up 3 time’s to try and order drinks and were told by a male and female bartender that they’d be over to our table. We waited 40 minutes no service no drinks no food and when I finally went back up to confront the bartender and ask to be served he said he was busy and would be right over , he proceeded to serve 2 other tables who had only arrived.
