Reading all the good reviews we booked this hotel well in advance. Unfortunately during booking somehow "Accessible Room" option got selected. What's strange is that while booking this option is available only if you are booking for a single person, I booked a room for two. So, it's a problem with their own booking website !! During check in we requested for a normal room but were refused stating fully booked. We somehow managed 3 nights in an uncomfortable room where: the bathroom had a wash basin near my knees, bathtub was small enough only to submerge my legs in water while lying down, bathroom had no place to keep your toiletries near the mirror, hair dryer was hooked outside the bathroom, the bed was small as my feet were hanging out while sleeping, window cannot be opened to let in some fresh air, hdmi input on tv doesn't work, etc. etc. Cleaning needs to be requested at the reception. We did that twice during our stay. Once they cleaned properly but left only 1 clean towel and took the 2 in return. Weird maths? I had to go down to the reception and pick up a fresh towel. Second time, they did not clean at all even after telling the guy at reception twice to replace the towels and refill the shower gel during cleaning as we were leaving for the day. After returning tired, we were horrified in finding the room still dirty, I had to go down to the reception to get fresh towels and refills for tea/coffee and had to ask them to give a new bottle of shower gel which was empty. What a weird way to get your room clean. A simple option like other hotels have , just to hang a small board on your door knob "Clean My Room" works like a miracle. But personal request at their reception doesn't work for this hotel !!!! The lift at the 4th floor doesn't always work, one of the "down" button is broken. Breakfast was ok. However they do not follow the timings for it. We reached at 7am for breakfast, since we had a morning flight on the last day. Nothing was ready. Had to wait almost till 0730 but got some help as they asked us and prioritized our breakfast. Well such small things matter, especially when you are asking for 3 nights the same amount that is the rent for a month.

Premier Inn Gloucester Road has become one of my go-to places when I travel. It's more than just a hotel; it genuinely feels like a home away from home. The staff were fantastic—always friendly, helpful, and ready to chat. I had some great conversations with them about local life, including a memorable chat with Haroun! (Thanks again for your advice and help) There’s a unique energy here, and the team’s warmth and diversity really shine through, making for a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and super comfortable. It’s clear they put effort into maintaining high cleanliness standards, and we were pleasantly surprised by the extra space and cozy beds. The on-site restaurant was also a highlight. They offer a nice variety of breakfast options, from hearty hot dishes to fresh continental selections. It’s a casual, relaxed space that made starting the day easy and enjoyable. For families or anyone with accessibility needs, they really have it covered. The family rooms are a great option if you’re traveling with kids, and there are thoughtful features throughout for guests who might need them. Location-wise, it’s perfect—close to the town center with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. I’d absolutely recommend staying here for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming experience.

Check in started at 3 pm for early check-in it was an additional 10 euros for whoever wanted We stayed at a double bed room for 1 night with no breakfast The staff where very friendly and helpful easy check in and check out The room was clean and there is shampoo - shower gel provided The wifi costs extra if needed ( which we didn't need so I can't judge there) The breakfast from what i saw looked okay simple but a good variety if needed you can still go and pay there if you didn't add it online The water haf very good pressure and water was well heated also hairdryer provided that worked well There was no windows to open for fresh air thankfully it didn't feel stuffy There isn't a mini fridge so if you are a toutist who wants to keep food with you better pick items that don't need a fridge The location is very good in ny opinion not far away from many attractions on foot but also very close to a lot of public transportation Thankfully after check out you are allowed to leave bags or luggage in their storage room for the day and collect it later Idk about parking options but there is a parking area next to the hotel although i don't know if you pay for it

Paid €519 for 3 nights in room 808. I dont expect a lot from a premier inn, other than the basics - loo roll, towels and an instant coffee.

Requested fresh towels and loo roll at reception after the first night. Staff made a note. Came home at midnight, nothing had been done. Called reception, they said someone was coming up with them. They didn't come. Eventually went downstairs and asked again (1am at this point) and collected them myself. I desperately needed the loo roll as was was on my monthlies. Next morning, we tried again, sign on door and also let reception know. They did not clean, replace towels or loo roll for the 2nd time.

Separately, tried to buy a coffee at the bar on the 2nd morning. Not possible during breakfast time (we didn't pay for breakfast and therefore weren't allowed to help ourselves to the filtered americano coffee which was not v desirable, but we would have paid for it.) More frustrating that the instant coffees in the room hadn't been replaced else we could have just had some caffeine in bed to get us ready for a long day of touristing. The room supplied 2 sachets for 3 nights for 2 people. Make it make sense? With the loo roll, they didn't supply enough for 3 nights either, which put the burden on us to have to ask after 1 night, and we didn't check in until 10pm so it's not like we had spent much time in the room. They should have provided more loo roll.

Next day we tried again, and came down after breakfast had finished being served after 11am. Staff said they were cleaning the coffee machine and could not sell coffees and to come back in the afternoon.

At this point, I felt the staff were being intentionally unhelpful so they could just do the bare minimum.

Other things which I would usually accept as it's a 3 star hotel. Room 808 - shower door doesn't close, just rolls back open if you try, so the floor gets wet, hence the need for more towels. The shower pressure is weak. The carpet has a faint poop smell and you're up high so theres no windows. The fan turns on and allowed us to go down by 1 Celsius, (from 20 to 19) and there was v minimal air circulation.

All in all, a lovely new building that looks good. Room looked nice, is spacious, good bed, pillow and duvet. There was extra pillow too which I was grateful for! Staff service and upkeep not great. Not helpful either. At no point did any staff member try and be helpful about the room clean/fresh towels. The luggage storage was a great help to us also. And location...

Breakfast team spot on. However the dinner/evening team was another story, We had a table booking for 7.30pm.we ordered two meal deals and two children meal deals. We had to ask for the starters and they came after 40 minutes. We then had to wait one and half hours for the mains to come out.We had clearly stated that we wanted all our mains to come together but the children's mains came out before ours. The long wait for our mains was explained that the first pizza that was made was dropped onto the floor and then the second pizza was not fit to be served. When our mains finally arrived after waiting two hours, the pizza base was raw and not fit for consumption. We then asked for the extra portion of chips that we had ordered but the waiter replied that these had already been served to us with the children's meal. But we tried to explain that the children's chicken meal.should be served with chips. The waiter was so incompetent in understanding the mistake he made but was so rude in accepting this and replied' I have given you the chips and The manager was overhearing this conversation and instead of asking the customer 'us' what was the problem he replied that if we did not sit down we would be asked to be removed from the restaurant. Our children felt so uncomfortable and upset as wefelt that no one was listening to us.We asked to speak to this manager but instead he sent out the duty manager.Again the duty manager did not understand what had happened as english was her second language. We explained clearly that the food that has been bought out to us was inadequate- she did not understand that the order was clearly wrong. I.had to point it out to her on the menu. She was rude and said that we could ask the manager for hia name when we requested it. The duty manager did not do anything to resolve our problem of not having any edible dinner served to us. We asked to speak to.the manager who frankly was reluctant to resolve our situation. He said we would have to pay for the kids meals and drinks. When we explained that at 9.50pm having been seated at 7.30pm.we had not had any proper dinner. Our children and ourselves just had to return to our room feeling disheartened by the lack of dining experience, having no main meal we had and your staff making us feel that it was our mistake. Added to this it was when we returned home we have found something has been stolen. A hair brush of all things. The monetary value is minor however it's the principle. Would not...

Location is close to the centre of the city but there is a 7 minute walk from the allocated/discounted parking area to this hotel - consider this if you have children and/or luggage - may be better for one of you to drop off outside the hotel and then the driver to park and walk over. Very clean and modern in reception and all hospitality team are pleasant and knowledgeable. They will assist you with directions and show you on a map. There is also an option for free left-luggage. We didn't sample the restaurant or breakfasts so can't comment on these, but in the past I have had them at Premier Inn's and never had an issue. I did order a diet pepsi in a class from the bar and the was EUR3.50. Room is modern, clean and comfy. As with the majority of Premier Inn's they push the comfort of their beds for a good nights sleep and no complaints here. Very comfy, dark room and quiet! Perfect. TV is a good size and a range of channels. If you want to bring your smart device you can connect it to the HDMI socket on the wall and then watch Apple TV, DIsney etc from your own account which we did in the evenings and was great - just be aware that as you are not in your native country you may not be able to access some of your own streaming services without a VPN as it knows you are in Ireland. You can stream via the free Wi-Fi and Premier Inn offer a faster connection but at a cost but we didn't find it necessary as streamed with no issues. Team making facilities are good but for some reason reception kept running out of the small milk packets so on occasion we had to have a jug with milk in but it didn't last for long as it was left out in reception and by the evening it smelt bad. We were in room 415 and the hair dryer worked but had a loose connection somewhere so had to hold the power button down and wiggle the cable a bit but we worked it out! Bathroom was clean and everything we needed. There is a dual shaving adaptor for 230 and 110v. Shower isn't the most powerful (we are possible spoilt at home as all of our showers are power showers) but it does the job and temperatures are fine. As with every Premier Inn checkout process is smooth and no issues. Housekeeping is only provided if you inform reception beforehand, specific timing I think was 12noon? We only asked for housekeeping for 1 day as the sheets/towels are fine and it's not as if we change our home bed sheets or shower towels everyday so why would you do...
