Absolutely, positively, 100% one of my favourite vegan “dirty junk food” places. When I lived in Ireland it was a must to have Saucy Cow monthly and when I visited Ireland in March, it was on the list of “must-do’s” and oh did I do it and oh did I love it! Craving there food was actually one of the reasons for me choosing to do Dublin for my birthday. The food is always amazing, the customer service is awesome and the new location has such a sweet, chill vibe. But let’s be honest, they can be anywhere and it will always be 100%. Love you lots Saucy Cow and you’ll forever be in my “must eat at places” when I’m in Ireland. When the time comes where I move back to Canada, I’ll be pestering you to open one there! Go support a local, small vegan business. Anyone complaining about the price…..inflation y’all - don’t complain to the businesses, complain to the government! It’s so difficult for small businesses out there - all around the world to survive - especially restaurants with all the insanely rising costs of absolutely anything and everything. Small businesses don’t have the buying power that major chains etc. have so please keep that in mind. Personally though, I find the prices reasonable, especially in this economic environment.

What a restaurant! On arrival, we were made very welcome and noticed the kitchen’s open - it was good to see the chefs creating our food (what a team!) and reassuring to see everything’s made fresh. I ordered the Buckfast BBQ Burger, which has a sauce so good it could turn any meal into a 'buckfast' and the furious. My partner had the Spicy Chick Wrap and Chilled Red Wine, while I enjoyed a Karma Cola (really appreciated that Fairtrade option). The restaurant offers a variety of vegan options, including loaded fries, burgers, mushroom burgers, wraps and sides. Among these, the Salt & Chilli Hashbrowns are fantastic and were the highlight of our meal – so tasty, we could have ordered them again and again. So overall, a few surprises on the menu and overall, the food was delicious, the service excellent and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommend The Saucy Cow for a fantastic vegan dining experience in Dublin!

Have been here multiple times since it’s opened and I love it! Last time I got the Caesar wrap, the chicken and sauce was delicious, so nice to get something light and tasty like this for lunch as a vegan. Not sure if the menus changed this year, but I went last December 2023 and got a Christmas sandwich, oh my god it was class, the gravy was such a good add on. The salt and chilli tofu was UNREAL, I’d love to try the hash browns next time I’m in. It’s a real gem of a place in dublin for vegans, they also have a place in cork too. They have delicious craft beer, I saw they brought in a brunch menu this year which I am very excited to try! The menu has multiple choices like vegan burgers, wraps, chips, chicken etc. One of my favourite restaurants in dublin!! It is down a lane just off the Olympia on dame st, easy to miss if you don’t know where you’re going but 1000% worth it!

We went last weekend and arrived. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated because they closed off half of the restaurant to accommodate a reservation, despite the fact that they insist on walk-ins only on their social media pages. We were one table of many who had to wait outrageously long times.

Aside from that, the food was rushed and lukewarm, quite the opposite to what we would usually expect. We were sitting for less than half an hour in total before a waitress placed a card machine in front of us and stated that they were very busy and needed the table back. We had half a drink to finish which we ended up leaving. I was a little bit shocked with how rude they were. We certainly weren't dragging our feet, conscious of the ever-growing queue of people looking for food, and being asked to leave after 25 minutes is absolutely atrocious service. I honestly loved this place, but unfortunately won't be returning after this encounter.

In future, I'd recommend advertising on social media that you'll be closing one half of the resteraunt for a certain length of time. That way customers are aware and can adjust their plans around such an occasion, instead of being rushed and asked to leave. For the money that's paid, I believe customers...

"Mehh" "ew" "Nah never " any non vegetarian (meat eater)

I was one of the people who would react the above and who would never try vegan food whenever dining out.

While passing by this dine out what caught my eye was 1)the ambience - the way they have used lighting and simple decor to make that place so aesthetic.

  1. I saw a crowd! And their food plates on the table.

It seemed like a good burger/fried chicken place. After looking it up on Google I was surprised to know it's a vegan restaurant.

This place is a must try for casual dine outs. They go out on mushroom burgers very fast(it tastes like a fried chicken burger just lighter). Mushroom burgers in this place will be ranked 2nd for now in Dublin in my list after mad eggs.

The waffle fries were something new I discovered. It's a must try.

Burger such as dzouble cheese, is for people who eat beef. I generally don't like to eat beef and when I ate it it seemed no different to a beer burger .

To conclude I will say go with mushroom burger and waffle fries for the best experience.

-Just another non vegetarian who...
