Please see screenshots attached. I was looking to get an internal battery replaced in a gameboy cart. Had been in touch around opening hours and availability to do so. In the below messages I was informed that the business would be open from 8:30am and that as long as I arrived before 11am it would be no issue. Arrived at 10am, store is closed. 10 minutes later two employees arrived entered the store and pulled door shut behind them. Waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. Tried phoning and Watsapp messaging the phone number on their website as well as private messaging via instagram. I have received no response. They have seen my messages and ignored them. I would say the customer service is awful but as you can see in the screenshots provided it is clearly non-existent. This took place on the 12/4/25. It is now the 16/4/25 and still no response received. Edit: Response received shortly after posting review with offer to replace...
Read moreI have no idea if the place is under new management, but it used to be my favourite place to go and trade in my old games and records, or buy some new ones. Since the shop moved location, ive gone 3 times and its only been open once. Google says it is open, 11am opening time today, i was there at 11.30 and the door was locked. The in shop selection is a fraction of what it used to be too, most of the stock is on their website now. Was a gem of a shop, now a shadow of its former self.
Update: again the shop is closed december 28th. Years later, the same bullshit. 1pm and the door is locked. Social media says open at 12. Travelled into the city centre to collect an order i made. No response to my emails for over an hour. Tried calling the phone number left on the door and the phones off. No updates on social media. Another huge waste of my time after i spent a considerable amount on my order. No idea what to do now....
Read moreIf I'm not ordering online, I prefer to get my albums here. They've a good selection of used albums downstairs - many available for multi-buy discounts. Plus, you can try any used album before you purchase it.
They have a selection of new albums as well - usually indicated because new albums end in .99 and used is .95 (or I might have that backwards, it may be the other way around). Their new stuff is still a touch more expensive than shopping on Amazon, but cheaper than Tower Records. They have a loyalty card system with their purchases, which can give you a variety of discounts.
I can say that in my experience, the used records here, have less of a musty smell than you usually get at...
