Conveniently located near Dublin’s city center, the Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill is a stand out in unique design, exceptional food and wonderfully warm personnel. I stumbled upon this pub having been relocated by our originally booked hotel to a boutique hotel just next door. Boy, am I glad! If we’d not been been relocated, I would have missed out on this little gem! Well, little, isn’t really a very fair or accurate description. This place towers 3 stories high and touts 5 different floor levels of drinking and dining in an elegant, yet wonderfully warm, comfortable environment. Very tastefully decorated, marble bar tops, glass stair dividers, and open ceilings connect one level to the next. The rooftop open-air bar is the pinnacle of this place. This pub is really a “must see” to believe it. This a sports bar meets classy dining with a modern touch in an incredibly well remodeled 200 some year old building. The exterior gives little insight to the greatness within. But what really makes this place great? It’s the people that make it happen here! I watched people shuffle in and out for two days, each being greeted like an old friend. I myself have never experienced the warmth from personnel like I was treated here. From the wait staff to the bartenders even the chef and especially the owner, the pride of service shines in this place, and I cannot stress this more. I visited many pubs in Dublin, and in fact across Ireland. I ate good food, had some good service, met some fine people and drank good beer, but by far the best yet was the Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill. Do yourself a favor and...

We stopped into this pub, for a drink, at the end of our first day/afternoon in Ireland (walking around Dublin) and it was here that I was presented with the BEST Irish coffee that I enjoyed over our entire holiday in Ireland. Louie was our bartender. His service was beyond excellent, which included making us feel so completely welcomed and at home. He gave me a lesson on what a proper Irish coffee is, and I might have experienced one (but only one) close to his level of excellence, but certainly not at his level of excellence. And believe me, I tried one in pretty near ever Irish pub we stopped into for an afternoon refreshment over the entire duration of our 3 weeks in Ireland - my quest was a devoted one indeed. A huge thank you to Louie for his precise, insistent, and most memorable lesson on Irish coffee and for making the best one I have ever tasted. Please also send a message to him - we are the couple that moved on next to a 2-week stay in Tralee. Please let him know that 2 weeks in Tralee was not enough time, we enjoyed every minute of...

A True Gem in the Heart of Dublin!

I had the pleasure of visiting The Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill in Dublin recently, and I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of my trip! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was exceptional, warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing.

The staff ( a certain man) went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Whether it was helping with menu recommendations or just sharing a bit of local charm, they made the experience feel genuinely personal.

Now let’s talk about the food, absolutely fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We tried a mix of traditional Irish dishes and some modern pub favorites, and everything was spot on. The portions were generous and beautifully presented.

The atmosphere is the perfect blend of heritage charm and modern comfort, great for both casual drinks and sit-down meals. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Dublin, The Parnell is definitely worth a stop.

Highly recommend, we’ll be...

Checked out The Parnell Heritage Pub & Grill on our last night in Dublin! While it was nice, and comfortable it wasn’t all we had hoped it would be! The Service was a bit lack luster, and our server seemed as if it was his first night on the job! We shared an order of the Soup of the Day, which was a Butternut Squash Soup with Brown Bread, which we very much enjoyed! We both ordered the Irish roast beef, which was good… but not the best we’ve had! The itself seemed a bit dry, however the mashed potatoes, stuffing and vegetables that came along with it, were very good! The best part of the evening, was getting the chance to speak with the owner at the end of the night! He was a delightful man, and while we didn’t have the best experience this go round, we’d definitely give it another try on our next trip to Dublin!

They have an amazing storytelling and music event on Tuesdays with Candlelit Tales telling a combination of folk tales and mythology, weaving a bit of local history into the story. A totally captivating performance highly recommend it only €10 for the storytelling & music or €25 including a food from a special menu for the event. This is a little gem on the north-side of the city center, lovely location great food, cool beer garden on the roof. Really nice ambient music choices, just a great place to chill out and eat well.
