Came in with my partner over the weekend, wouldn’t return.

Atmosphere seemed great initially, singer fantastic, but the staff really need some help with dealing with situations that are at times going to arise in pubs. Two obviously too drunk locals at the end of the bar decided to wait until I went to the toilet when we first walked in, proceeded to pester my partner who was obviously alone, very uncomfortable and upset that some random fellas were putting their hands on her inappropriately (anyone can deal with a few drunk words but touching someone is a joke) and being aggressive. Guy behind the bar stood there looking at her obvious discomfort with a disinterested look and didn’t say a word or help her. When I returned and asked the guy to move back he got aggressive and when an argument took place (not physical, but this guy saying he’s talking to her regardless of if we’re together or not and what would I do about it), the barman decided to threaten to have me removed if I didn’t leave it. Then when pressed on why he didn’t say anything to help her like any man in the world would, the manager came over and basically said the same thing about having us leave despite us not being drunk at all and sat as a couple on our own, nothing said to the idiots at the end of the bar. According to a woman who saw it all, they knew the two lads so wouldn’t have said anything as that’s how they work in there. Could have ended up a very different way, tin pot gangsters sat at the end of the bar bladdered being basically supported in doing whatever they want, not sure if the staff thought they were amusing or were scared of them but a very, very poor look.

I hate leaving a bad review for places but I think going to a pub like this your partner should feel comfortable being left alone, always a chance someone can go too far with “flirting” but staff should be there to help if they see something out of order or abusive. Especially a woman alone.

Unfortunately this place seems to lack basic decency and, as is very evident in...

We had low expectations for a location in the Temple Bar area honestly expecting more of a tourist trap (like temple bar), but we had a great experience with great service and food we enjoyed. There was a wait of about 20 minutes. Understandable given the time of day and how busy it was in the area. Our server was professional and friendly. Had no problems making what felt like honest recommendations. The location is definitely tightly spaced for seating. Don’t expect a spot where you will be isolated or have much space to your self. In fact, we were seated on a 6 top with another random couple at the other end of the table which we were initially confused by. We had the cottage pie and fish and chips. An appetizer was garlic toasted bread with cheese which was good. My fish was lightly battered and tasted good. Fries as a side were plentiful. Most fries I think I’ve ever been served as a side, anywhere. The side of mushy peas was an extra €2, and not as good as the Old Spot earlier in our stay. Our soft drink orders were tiny. 200mL bottles (about 6.7oz) and €4 a piece. The cottage pie was very good. The beef had great flavor and mashed potatoes were good. For dessert, we had a bread and butter pudding. This was tasty as well. It is served hot with a thick whipped cream topping. Not a ton of flavor compared to other bread pudding-like desserts I’ve had in the past but it was good. We tried some baileys ice cream as well. It was tasty, but I don’t enjoy lots of ice cream as a dessert so, don’t let me sway you on my ice cream review. Overall would recommend for a good Irish meal in the heart of Temple bar area. Don’t forget to tip...

We loved this place so much we only had 3 nights in Dublin and went here 2 days in a row!! Our first day was absolutely FABULOUS and we had such excellent service from" Paulo " hopefully I'm spelling and remembering him correctly with the most friendly smile I wanted him to join us! We were so lucky to come eat at off time and relax with immediate seating at our choice next to window and NOT busy like the next day where the waitress insisted we HAD to order at least one entree making NO sense because we ended up spending less the second night than the first night ordering several appetizers and drinks. I would give 4 stars for this waitress but Paulo was so excellent so why I wanted to give a " shout out!" And say what a nice experience we had at an early dinner to get out of the cold and have the excellent seafood soup and clams etc. highly recommend this restaurant. We had hoped to order dessert but ended up too full both times so guess we will have to wait and fly thousands of miles from across world just to come back and try dessert and see Paulo again!! I also want to say how much I loved his suggestion to try the local Dublin or Irish Beer I think called "Kilkiny" or something similar...a new favorite

Much Aloha we will pass the good news to all our American and...
