I only rated 3 stars because the short rib risoto was really nice. Id say they can improve more with the service, waited 15 mins on the front door to be seated basically the servers were just smiling to us and did not even bother to ask if we have reservation or wanted a table? One server gave us a water bottle when we eventually got seated but did not return at all to take our orders? It was another man who took our order. Very confusing service as we dont know who is looking after us. The filipina manager though was lovely and gave colorpad for my son I really appreciated that. Filipino Kare Kare was very poor and salty, was expecting more ad they have a filipino chef. Chowder was very salty. We enjoyed the short rib, that was really tasty.

Had the best afternoon tea experience at the Conrad! The service was impeccable and bonus points since it’s dog friendly! We were offered complimentary Prosecco and the selection of sandwiches and cakes were amazing! There’s also plenty of teas to choose from, and after you’re done with the first round, they come in with scones!

The service is good, very pleasant staff but the food is absolutely overpriced and no value for the money. 17 euro for this ‘cauliflower steak’, which was simply a boiled piece of cauliflower. Unfortunately would not recommend.

The food: food menu is reasonably sized, and portions for mains are quite good. Starters are small and a good way to whet the appetite. The deserts were also well put together. Chips are pre-salted, which is a big plus although the pork belly starter was described as underwhelming by the person I was with.

Drinks: an extensive drinks menu was available although non-alcoholic options were somewhat limited. The wine I had was good and warming, which is what I like out of a red wine. The white wine was obviously chilled.

The coffee: served with a biscuit, otherwise fine, bitter and not really notable. A standard coffee, albeit coming out of the machine at 85 degrees Celsius therefore wait before sipping your espresso.

The ambiance: while the decor is fine, with calming colours and centrally located bar which looks reasonable, it can be a bit loud, especially if sat next to another table. This can make conversation a bit tricky.

Pricing: starters were all things considered a little pricey. Everything else seemed reasonable enough considering the type of establishment.

Service: good uniforms and reasonably quick kost...

Roomy comfortable setting, staff were friendly, attentive, and competent. Problem was the food. Slow coming (we arrived 5.40, didn't have time for desert before an 8pm concert). House ("sommelier") wines €9 per glass were ok. Chowder was ok, heavy on the salmon. Olives were nice, copious. Beef "pie" was very large chunks of mostly nice beef in a pot, which made cutting difficult, topped with mash. No pastry. Halloumi burger was breaded and deep fried halloumi with the usual trimmings, and was nice. Halloumi is is not for everyone; the only other vegetarian option was tagliatelle, and it was a poor effort. A very large serving of pasta, minimal sauce, and the broccoli and spinach barely visible. We requested more broccoli, and in fairness five nicely poached florets arrived promptly. You'd be disappointed to get this in your staff canteen, so vegetarians you have...
