Have been to this pub frequently for ywars and enjoyed the food and drinks. Went yesterday and arrived before the All Ireland Final. Immediately grunted at by a female, eastern european blonde woman behind the bar (short hair.) Then laughed at by the same member of staff when I ask if the match is being shown (it was not on the TV despite the coverage having already started.) Order food which was fine. Berated by the same woman when I leave napkins at the bar (I didn't see the bin and it is behind the bar basically.) Pretty shocked and annoyed at this point, with her hyper aggressive attitude. Trying to enjoy with a friend and being made to feel very unwelcome. To top it all off she then accuses me of stealing the meal, despite me saying that we were merely moving unpstairs as the commentary was on. The tab was running and this was incredibly obvious. Slams the bill down at the table and screams at me that "I NEED TO PAY." All this before the match even started!!! Unbelievably rude and unnecessarily aggressive. A great day ruined by the worst pub member of staff I've ever encountered. Won't be returning on All Ireland Final day. The rest of the staff were good. That one...

I don't normally leave reviews but I had to leave a review about this place because I honestly couldn't get over how dreadful my experience was.

I arrived on Saturday night and was told that there's no tableside service; so for drinks we've to order at that bar, that's no problem. The problem is going ordering the food from the bar with a menu in your hand like you're at a fast food restaurant. I understand if you're too busy to cater to tables for just drink but atleast take orders for food.

When the food finally arrived the mince in the nachos were stone cold and before I even put my fork down from the starter they were out with the main course, absolutely no pacing on the courses at all. As for the main course the steak, which I had the pleasure of spending nearly €20 on was like an old leather belt and I struggled to cut it with the steak knife that accompanied the steak.

Then to top it off as the waiter lifted my plate from the main course he asked could we settle the bill straight away. No patience, no pacing with meal courses and to be quite honest it's not worth your time or money. I've gotten better service from dine in chip shops. Avoid this place...

After missing the luas, I said I’d kill time and have a pint of the gorgeous Kilkenny. I enter and to be fair my order was taken promptly, “a Kilkenny please” the pint was poured 3/4 and left to settle…. No problem, I sat at the bar cash ready, mouth watering. After a minute or so, pint settled ready for a top up, bar man glued to the phone no bother I thought, good things come to those who wait. But after watching the barman in-groused by tinder on his phone for 8 minutes, to then top up the pint and ask me for €8:30 of my hard earned cash, I was shook,” it’s the big smmoooke, big prices” I thought. Let the pint settle, hopefully the product reflects the price. But unfortunately dear reader, it wasn’t. It was poor, nevertheless not the worst pint Iv had (worst was in an Indian restaurant in Manchester, don’t ask never again), disappointed I retreated from the establishment, delighted to say I’m currently on the train back home to “the bog” thinking to myself about all the poor yanks mr smith takes advantage of, if ye want advice walk two minutes to the boars head, what an excellent pint there! Still not the cheapest bit at least it’s decent....

I finally decided to have fish and chips (f/c) in Ireland. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in the dish. If you enjoy f/c this is not the place. I left the food stars 0 because the fish was absolutely terrible, no flavor and not crispy. I had two bites and had someone else try it and they also found it flavorless. The Beef and Guinness stew was ordered and reported to be good. 3 stars. The staff was very nice and listened to my complaints and concerns and said they would relay it to the chef. Maybe it will be tasty for the next person. I understand everyone has different taste, so try it knowing you've been warned.

Dublin is known for having the best chicken wings in the world, but unfortunately, NOT HERE. This pub serves the worst chicken wings in Dublin. They were supposed to be large and spicy, but the portion was tiny and cost €16.95. There was no spicy sauce whatsoever. On top of that, the chicken tasted like it was old and had been reheated. Terrible experience. I definitely don’t recommend it.
