OMG, like, stop everything—because Lemon Jelly in Dublin is legit the breakfast spot of your dreams. Like, I’m not even being dramatic (okay, maybe a little), but it’s just THAT amazing.
First of all, the vibes? Immaculate. It’s giving trendy café meets cozy Euro brunch heaven. The place is super cute, super chill, and like, totally Instagrammable. I was obsessed before I even sat down, not gonna lie.
Now let’s talk about the food, because OMG. I got the pancakes and I swear to you—these were not just pancakes, these were like fluffy clouds of happiness sent from the brunch gods themselves. And the syrup? Ugh, chef’s kiss. My friend got the eggs benedict and she literally moaned after the first bite. Like, should we have been embarrassed? Maybe. Were we? Absolutely not.
And the coffee?? Honey, it SLAYED. Smooth, strong, but like, in a sexy way? I don’t know how coffee can be sexy but Lemon Jelly made it happen. I felt so alive. Like a main character in a Parisian romance film but with better toast.
Also, the staff were total sweethearts—so friendly, so chill, and they didn’t judge me at all for asking for extra syrup three times. Legends.
In conclusion: if you’re in Dublin and you don’t go to Lemon Jelly, I don’t even know what to say to you. Like, do you even love yourself? Run—don’t walk. You NEED it...
Read moreThe most invasive experience ive ever had at a restaurant. The waitress jumped into our conversation about all girls schools, then turned to me and said "let me guess you're a lesbian now?" After I was taken aback from the question she then continued with "well you're not helping yourself with the Madrid jersey and shorts"(it was a barca 1995 kappa jersey not that it matters).
Even though she could tell after this exchange that I didn't appreciate the comment, and with a stumbled over 3 second apology it was still quite invasive and extremely odd. Also to note, she just didn't come back after that to collect any plates or walk past our table for the rest of our meal.
Wouldn't exactly call this place lgbtq friendly, maybe they should rip down that massive rainbow heart sticker if they're going to embarrass their customers with cheap shots at their clothes.
The food was fine, a bit too pricy for the quality but...
Read moreIt was a lovely place to eat. There are so many choices that look tasty that it was very hard to choose! From a full Irish breakfast to crêpes, omelettes, bagels, toasts, french toasts, smoothies, fruit juice, coffees with various milk options and teas, it was wonderful. We appreciated the vegetarian version of the Irish breakfast for those who prefer. We had a bit of everything and everyone loved their food. Special note for the turmeric coconut latte, which I liked very much. The strawberry hot chocolate is the only thing we cared less for due to a more industrial strawberry sirup taste. Other dishes we tried : matcha latte, fruit juice, french toast, cream cheese bagel, camomille tea, full Irish breakfast, vegetarian full Irish breakfast. The personnel was nice, the food arrived quickly ans was quite generous in size, the space was nice. We'd love to come back there to try all the other tasty...
