I used to be a regular go to guy to Zaytoon when I was working in Big4 accounting firm in that area. However, I have recently visited their Camden branch and I wasn’t overly impressed about the whole experience. The food was okay but I would like to present three observations: 1. The food is much overpriced now. 2. They have to work on their wording on the family platter menu which doesn’t transparently present the items included in it. For example, the family platter for 2 says a person will get 3 small mains from the menu along with two sides. We ordered three seesh kebab mains (which should come with three seesh, three reads and three salads), two sides and a drink. Untimely, we got two mains two sides but for the third meal, they have us just few pieces of meat. I had asked for the justification but wasn’t very happy with their responses. I have attached a photo of the third “main” for transparency. This is what we got. No bread or salad or sauce was given. 3. They have a promotion campaign hanging in the restaurant door that if anyone downloads the app, they will get 20% discount. I had downloaded the app but it never had any option to apply that 20% discount. I asked the counter and they said they don’t do it anymore. If the promotion is over, they should take out the advertisement. I hope Zaytoon will take a look into these points as feedback as other customers may experience the same as mine. Thanks.

I normally don’t bother to give reviews but I felt it necessary to share my experience. My intention is not just to bash, but rather give some feedback to the owner/owners and customers. 1) As my family and I entered, we were not greeted, or even got a smile by the gentlemen at the till (looked Middle Eastern and sounded Persian, slightly bald). We were not made to feel welcome and had to awkwardly look around to find a place to sit. 2) Despite it being a very big and spacious restaurant, for some reason the man behind the till said we must look at the menu at the till and order there. No menus at the tables which is bizarre. 3) We ordered the lamb doner X2 and chicken shish with Hummus (which cost almost €70!). The lamb doner tasted terrible. It was bland and felt like it was expired. The same thing with the hummus, it tasted like it had gone past its expiry date. 4) It felt like quite a long time before we were served. 5) The cherry on the cake was when we were served the Hummus, we weren’t even given a piece of bread to eat it with! We had to pay €3 extra just to get some bread to eat the Hummus! I hope the owners see my experience and improve. But until then, I would not recommend this place.

The Zaytoon on Camden Street is an absolute dining place in the heart of Dublin. The enticing aroma of their delicious Middle Eastern cuisine greets you from the moment you enter. The atmosphere is vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a meal with friends or a quick solo bite. Their menu offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, from juicy kebabs to flavorful shawarmas, and their vegetarian options are equally delightful. The food is always fresh and bursting with authentic flavors, leaving your taste buds dancing with joy. Don't forget to try their signature garlic sauce – it's a game-changer! And if you're looking for a late-night bite, Zaytoon is your go-to spot, as they're open until the wee hours of the morning. We always come here before going to our respective homes after a night party. Zaytoon on Camden Street is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious Middle Eastern cuisine in Dublin. It's a true culinary delight that will keep you coming back for more!
