Just visited Zaytoon in February on a trip to Dublin - here was my experience!
POSITIVES this is a well done Persian restaurant that’s open late; the warmth of the Kurdish/irish manager hits you right as you order! I came in 30 minutes before closing and they serviced me like I was at the beginning of the shift! I ordered the lamb doner - granted this was one of the few things they had left. I rarely get lamb but not much else was open so I bit the bullet. This was arguably some of the best lamb I’ve ever had - succulent, melt in your mouth lamb (I will be dreaming about this lamb now). Loved how many veggies they gave you on the doner - very fresh as well (and mind you I came in towards closing!) They were swift at preparing my order and everything was piping hot Even though I came close to closing time - they did not kick me out or rush me! I appreciated that :)
CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK It’s 17.90 euros for my entire meal - portion size was pretty decent and the food was excellent so I don’t mind paying; however if you’re on a budget may not be for you. It’s a bit chilly in the restaurant (it could have just been where I’m sitting lol).
CONCLUSION I would totally come back in heartbeat! If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or something to have with family - come here! Bonus point is its excellent service...
Read moreI recently dined at Zaytoon in Dublin, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was impressively fast and efficient; you place your order at the counter, and the staff promptly bring your food to your table.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the meat. The beef, lamb, and chicken were all incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Each bite was a delight, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and taste. Even the white rice, often an overlooked side, was delicious on its own.
The staff at Zaytoon were exceptionally professional and kind, enhancing the overall dining experience. Their attentive and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made the visit even more enjoyable.
Don’t miss out on their freshly squeezed juices. The orange juice and the orange, apple, ginger combo are both refreshing and well worth the price. They perfectly complement the rich flavors of the meal.
In summary, Zaytoon delivers an outstanding dining experience with its delectable food, speedy service, and welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant – it's a solid...
Read moreAs a tourist, I must express my disappointment with the dining experience at this restaurant. Despite seeking assistance with the menu and portion sizes, I ended up feeling as though I had been taken advantage of. The cost of approximately 90 euros for a meal that left much to be desired is simply not justifiable. The food arrived cold and the portion sizes were notably small given the price – paying 20 euros per person for only two pieces of salmon, among other items, felt exorbitant.
Regrettably, the quality of the food did not match the steep prices. In fact, I have enjoyed better meals elsewhere at a fraction of the cost. This has been a disheartening experience overall. I had hoped for a more enjoyable and authentic culinary experience during my visit, and unfortunately, this fell short.
I would rate the service poorly due to the fact that despite seeking assistance and guidance, the outcome was far from satisfactory. This has undoubtedly left a sour impression and has not reflected well on the hospitality of this establishment.
Dont go for family platter at all , if anything , order...
