I had booked a table for our wedding anniversary on Saturday 11th September. On arrival at 8.00pm we had to wait in a queue outside the restaurant. There was about 15 people in the queue. After about 8 minutes the manager came out to apologise and said we would be seated in about 5/7 minutes. Once we got to our table we ordered our food. Our starters arrived quite promptly but whilst we were eating our starters my wife’s main course was brought to our table. We asked our waiter to take it away until we finished our starters. They same situation arose at the table beside us. As food was extremely poor we asked for the bill after the main courses. Waiter apologised for the quality of food and the manner in which the main course was brought to our table whilst we were still eating our starters. He explained that they had a problem with their ordering system and they had tried to fix it earlier in the day.
I paid the bill and asked to see the manager. After about 5 minutes there was no sign of the manager so we left. As I passed the entrance (and due to the fact that I was so annoyed) I went back in to ask for the manager again. I was told she was in the office. She arrived shortly afterwards and I explained the extreme disappointment we felt from our experience in her restaurant. terrible. She showed no sign of remorse and actually said she was not aware of the problems in the ordering system nor the fact that main courses were being brought to tables even though customers were still eating their starters. I suggested that she was the Manager and should ask her customers of their experience. In truth I felt that she had no interest in the customers and probably preferred to be in her office.
In summary it was certainly the most disappointing restaurant experience ever. The food was extremely poor and certainly up to the standard of the many online reviews that exist. The waiting staff were trying their best but the lack of leadership from the manager portrayed a sense that the customer did...
Read moreDo not eat here if you have food allergies! This would have been zero stars if possible. I have a peanut allergy and ordered the Zucchini e gamberi pizza. The waiter did not ask if anyone had any allergies and as the allergens listed did not mention peanuts, I did not ask and trusted the information provided. However, after one slice of pizza I began to have a reaction and asked a waitress if the pizza had peanuts on it. There seemed to be no urgency to get back to me. I was then told there were no peanuts by another waiter, shortly followed by another confirming that peanuts had in fact been included in the pesto on the pizza. They tried to tell me that the menu stated this, but I quickly pointed out that this was not the case. They told me that they would update the menu tomorrow to reflect the correct allergens - unfortunately too late for me. I was told the manager was going to talk to me and he never came. Only one of the waiters seemed to be interested in helping me and the one who took our bill payment (who I believe was the manger) seemed to be smirking. Since this incident I have found a review on Trip Advisor where this same incident happened to a child just 3 months prior and the restaurant have obviously take no action to prevent this from reoccurring. Overall, it was an abhorrent disregard of the health and safety of their customers with an exceedingly disappointing resolution from the staff. The staff were grossly unprepared for the situation, even having experienced it 3 months before. I called the restaurant 2 days after visiting to speak to a manger about it and 3 days after this, I am still waiting for a call back - a further demonstration of their lack of urgency and care for...
Read moreI'm not going to slate the place because the staff were lovely and the pizzas looked AMAZING. Cooked fresh. BUT I ordered the stuffed creamy chicken. I was so excited for my first night out in galway in ages, got a babysitter and wanted to treat myself. I was craving a creamy Italian. The inside (mozzarella and spinach (not sure of what it's called)) at first tasted okay, sauce delicious but hot and cold, mash potato obviously smash, which is fine I've worked in a restaurant for 8 years you gotta do what ya gotta do, smash is fine, but I got the crusty edge of it, not okay. Then I finally got to the inside of the chicken and realised why the sauce was all over the place. The meat, spinach and cheese was still frozen on the inside of the chicken. I'm all good for pre prepping food but ensure its fully cooked through please. I felt physically sick and had to ask the waiter to touch the inside of my chicken to see how physically cold it was because it took me 10 minutes to get any waiters attention. The couple who came infront of me, (a solo traveller) were served well before me. I was starving because I've driven half way across country all day without eating so I sent back my chicken and asked for some simple bruchetta because I was starving but craving carbs. It was delicious. Tomatoes were lovely. I felt bad paying the cashier and having to tell her how disappointed I was when she asked how my meal was. I still tipped more than my meal should have been. I honestly won't go again but wouldn't recommend to stay away, everyone with the pizza was clearly very happy so if that's all you want go get it. Red wine was delicious. I wish I could have stayed and had...
