Fantastic spot. Wandered in last Sunday morning as I use The Trough Coffee Shop at Kerlogue Industrial Estate on a daily basis and wanted to try their new venture. One word. Class. The Trough Cafe, at O’Donovans Wharf Crescent Quay has everything. Fantastic menu, great location, seating inside and outside, extremely efficient service, and very professional and customer friendly staff. Conor at the helm was brilliant such a friendly personality and great rapport with his team of staff. It’s easy to see the staff genuinely enjoy working here. Particular mention to Rachel who looked after us so well. Also, Conor’s lovely personality and leadership skills are contagious and you are drawn in to the buzz created by the whole team, and indeed the customers and indeed, created by the customers themselves! The place was buzzing ! I loved the atmosphere. I commented to my companion you could be anywhere in the world in this restaurant such was the vibe. I had Scrambled Eggs with Avocado on sourdough bread with a large pot of tea. Yum. My friend had the same. Same verdict. This place is busy. Very busy. The queue moved quickly and seamlessly with the minimum amount of effort and certainly no stress for all involved. This is a gem. Very boho chic vibe from this lovely place. Inside and outside full. Everyone catered for most professionally. Decor is chic elegant and ultra cool. You could be in any city in the world. I just loved the atmosphere. I wanted to box it and bring it home with me. If you are local or visiting our lovely town - visit The Trough Cafe at least once. Very very reasonable prices. Soak in the sun outside or soak in the atmosphere inside. Winner on both options. This place is good. Very very good. Sunday morning breakfast , cuppa and a book or meet a friend. You will be not regret your decision. They serve takeaway to go too. This place ticks every box. Love...

I don’t think 5 stars is high enough for this coffee shop!

I am a serious coffee nerd and am very picky when it comes to where I buy a coffee from and I have to say this place is probably the best coffee I’ve had in Ireland, and trust me I’ve tried hundreds of coffee shops.

We came here on the first day of our trip to Wexford and we ordered an iced coffee, a cortado and a cinnamon bun, all so good we had to order seconds.

We came back the next day for brunch and I got the trough eggs with bacon and he got the breakfast bap! Both massive portions and so unbelievably tasty and we each got cortados, we ordered a second cortado each because they are truly just that good!

The staff are so kind and chatty and always so helpful! They are so sweet!

Finally I just want to comment on the interior of the shop, it is beautiful and rustic, and this theme is seen throughout everything including dishes you’re served in and the seating areas!

I live in Dublin where there are many amazing coffee shops but I know I will think about this place once I leave!

UPDATE: I was recently back down in Wexford and had to go back and get my fix and WOW I was sent to heaven! The matcha was so delicious, staff again were so beyond lovely and the treats were out of this world! It still stands at my favourite coffee shop in Ireland!! Doing...

I am finding myself trying to reach for a 6th or 7th star. I have worked in the coffee industry for 7 years and I have not experienced food or service so well executed for a very long time. The owner is nothing short of a ray of sunshine and the level of service was consistently perceptive, fun and excitable - you finished up more excited about The Trough before you even sit down! He was letting his staff do their thing which is essential for letting staff grow until their roles. The coffee staff are so well trained, and they are not afraid to throw out a shot which is not within range, milk temp was perfect too šŸ™ The food was absolutely divine, we ate the Falafel & Eggs and Mexican eggs, both were soo flavourful

Just one tiny suggestion, it would be great to have water served as part of the food but generally the rest of casual set up works so well and contributes to the great, summertime atmosphere.

Safe to say I could live here - 10/10 The Trough I will be seeing you again as soon as...
