Usually if I have a bad experience, I chalk it up to it being a one off, and go about my life. BUT: While the staff were friendly and the service was good, the Italian sausage panini has got to be the most atrocious food I've ever paid for in a restaurant. I paid 15 euro for it, expecting a reasonable quality panini for that price... it was just a squashed, dry sausage inside stale bread - literally that was it. I had to force it down... it was hard to finish but I didn't want my 15 euro to go to waste. My partner ordered a 15 euro chicken salad, which was also terrible quality... barely any chicken in it, no dressing, literally just a pile of veges in a bowl. How is that worth 15 euro? I got the server and told him and let him smell it and he said it was impossible because it was alive when it was cooked. He never made a single accommodation for the food I refused to eat. The next day I had octopus in Florence and as I suspected it was completely different in quality. I believe the restaurant owner or staff may not like Americans after thinking about...

We found the pizza to be fine for our taste, and the service was very good, too. In fact, the waiter had a quiet, comfortable attitude, which we pleased us: We were not talked into ordering anything we did not like, etc.
ADDENDUM: Now, after having been to many other places in Naples and around (incl. Amalfi), I must revise the previous overall four-stars to five. We can safely say that the Limoncello Spitz at La Dolce Vita was the best, in comparison to the many others we had. So +1...
