Worst service we've ever experienced!

We went there due to the good reviews and were utterly disappointed. We wanted to order some pancakes and were shown some specific additions on the card to order with it (at an additional price point). One of it was fruiti rossi (red fruits, only fruit option there). Since we are not speaking italian - we only understand some words - we ordered the pancakes with fruit (in English) in direct relation to the options shown to us. But what was delivered was a pancake with thick pineapple slices and only some berries (plus a few different fruits). Since we don't like pineapple and it wasn't brought in any way near to us that it could be such a prominent part in the dish we asked the waitress about it. She responded, directly annoyed, that we ordered "just" fruits, completely ignoring that we actively refered to the red fruit option shown to us by her only seconds before ordering. She also completely ignored the language barrier while solely putting the blame on us for the situation.

We are fully aware that mistakes and miscommunication can happen on both sides but we think this all can also happen in a more respectable tone.

The waitress then gave in and offered us alternative fruits which we were more than happy about: strawberries, bananas and peaches. Only a minute later she came back to tell us strawberries weren't available anymore. We told her peaches and bananas would also be fine. Shortly after that a different waitress just put a plate with some bananas on our table, no words being said, no eye contact. We waited for the peaches but they never came. We then had to remove the pineapple by ourselves from the pancakes as well as pick up the bananas from the separate plate.

We've already been to a lot of restaurants but this level of missing hospitality was...

I completely fell in love with Forma when I spent two weeks in Sicily. I only regret that I hadn't found it earlier during my stay because I also brought my laptop to work there sometimes.

They serve the BEST iced latte with almond milk. I am traveling and I try iced lattes everywhere. I have never, EVER tried something even closer to Forma's option because their team also serves this drink with homemade almond milk. If you want to try the best iced latte in the world, ask for a portion of homemade almond milk :)

Excellent service, an inspiring atmosphere, a super friendly vibe, and scrumptious pastries. I was tired of authentic Sicilian cafes and their vibe during my long stay. Forma literally became a paradise with a European touch in Catania.

I thank all the team members and owners of this place. I only have warm memories and will definitely come back to...

Sono entrata ,una mattina, in questo luogo, che è la "forma" perfetta di tutto quanto segue: cortesia, igiene, eccellente professionalità, cibi e piatti che sono coccole per il palato. La prima volta sono entrata perché attratta dalla loro vetrina del pane: che dire se non che in tutta la mia vita solo in due luoghi ho mangiato pane con lievito madre così superlativo: a San Francisco (California) e qui da "Forma". Non ho potuto esimermi dall'apprezzare la genuinità dell'impasto, la veloce digeribilità, il profumo inebriante che resta anche quando lo mangio raffermo, e devo dire che è strepitosamente buono anche 2 giorni dopo. Lo store e la sua collocazione lo rendono delizioso per un aperitivo o per pranzo o cena, provati con grande soddisfazione anche questi. Hanno un'ottima enoteca, lo staff è composto da donne e uomini, che con charme ti offrono quella ospitalità, che ti conquista. Racconando di fermarsi presso Forma; io ci sono entrata casualmente per acquistare il pane e ..... ho instaurato un rapporto che lieta la mia quotidianità. Non posso più fare a meno delle coccole che offrono al mio palato e della squisitezza umana che alberga a partire dallo staff in cucina per finire a quello addetto ai tavoli. Ho trovato la "Forma" del viver sani e belli!

I entered this place ,one morning, which is the perfect "form" of everything that follows: courtesy, hygiene, excellent professionalism, foods and dishes that are pampering for the palate. The first time I entered because I was attracted by their bread display: what can I say except that in my entire life I have only eaten bread with such superlative sourdough in two places: in San Francisco (California) and here at "Forma". I couldn't help but appreciate the authenticity of the dough, the quick digestibility, the inebriating scent that remains even when I eat it stale, and I must say that it is amazingly good even 2 days later. The store and its location make it delicious for an aperitif or for lunch or dinner, these too were tried with great satisfaction. They have an excellent wine shop, the staff is made up of women and men, who with charm offer you that hospitality that wins you over. Recommending to stop at Forma; I went there by chance to buy bread and..... I established a relationship that makes my daily life happy. I can no longer do without the pampering they offer to my palate and the human delicacy that resides starting from the staff in the kitchen and ending with the one in charge of the tables.
