Ceccato Garden Bar — Restaurant in Como

Horrible experience . Came here at 6:45 to get a drink in the upstairs garden while the place was 80% full . Was met with a horrible attitude and was told they cannot seat us and wanted to see us in the sun in the garden downstairs Mind you , we are guests of the hotel. Asked why is the place still full and everyone else is still sitting in there, are they going to kick them out at 7 PM? Employee shrug his shoulders.. They said no and we said we’re literally gonna be there for 20 minutes just to get a drink before dinner . Employees there seemed clueless and incompetent and overall just rude. We turned around and left, I would never want to patronize a place like this anyway. Complete lack of any common sense. I understand if that part was closed with no people in it but we really wanted to get one drink before dinner and leave before most of these people were gonna be gone anyways.

*ADDITION- the venue replied to my review stating it was closes due to private event, this is complete BS. there was no private event happening that night. it was random people sitting there and employees confirmed that there was no private event. truly despicable to lie about this too...

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying some cocktails, light appetizers and dessert at the Ceccato Garden Bar. It was exquisite on many levels! It is simply beautiful and positioned to give breathtaking views of Lake Como. The decor is so aesthetically pleasing, warm and inviting. The service is fabulous! They have a menu of their signature cocktails of which we tried several! If you chose, which I recommend especially in the afternoon, ask to be seated on the upper floor. You won't be disappointed with the Lake views once again and you get to view the bartenders creating your cocktails for you. Matteo and Francesco are amazing along with Valerio, Rosanna, Stefano and of course their fabulous capo, Vicenzo!! The service is fantastic. They make you feel so special. Highly recommend anyone visiting Lake Como to go to the Ceccato Garden Bar. When you are on vacation, it should not be an extension of your everyday life....it should have beautiful elements to create lifelong memories! Definitely, an experience for one to indulge. Walking into this restaurant, the vibe was already a bit off. While the service was passable, it lacked any semblance of warmth. But what truly puzzled us was the pay-as-you-go system for each drink and order. For a fenced-in terrace, this approach seemed illogical and inconvenient.

Moving on to the drinks, the cocktail I chose left much to be desired. It was neither flavorful nor well-balanced, making for a forgettable experience. As for seating, the chairs were uncomfortable and unstable due to an uneven floor, which only added to the overall dissatisfaction.

The much-anticipated lake view was also disappointing, obscured for anyone not sitting in the very front row.

In conclusion, this restaurant missed the mark in several key areas—service, payment setup, drink quality, and view. It's not a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a satisfying dining experience. The series of letdowns make it hard to find any redeeming qualities...
