We visited twice during our stay. The first time was early afternoon when we sat inside due to heavy rain. The staff, a man with very short blonde hair and a lady with long hair served us. The service was good and they were friendly. The music was great too. We decided to go back the following evening and sat outside. We noted that we were treated differently, as tourists. My husband was told there was no draft beer so he ordered a bottle, but approximately 20 minutes later, a local came in and was given draft beer. All tables around us were given complimentary crisps, but we weren’t given any. We struggled to get anyone’s attention to order more drinks. Our bill was €27 and when my husband went into pay with €30 he was told they had no change. We would normally have just left the change as a tip but due to the poor service chose not to. The female staff member muttered under her breath and took €3 from the tip jar and slammed it on the counter. In our opinion, a lovely place with a great interior, let down by certain staff members. Read moreI visited this café recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. When I arrived, I was ignored for a while, so I asked if I could sit anywhere. The response I received was curt and unwelcoming. I waited over 15 minutes without being served, even though other tables that arrived after me were attended to quickly.
When I finally tried to order a panini, I was told the kitchen had just closed a minute earlier and nothing could be done. However, I then saw other customers—some who knew the staff—still being served snacks and food after this point, including tables that had arrived later than me.
It was frustrating to watch others get served while I was left without ANY option, despite politely mentioning that I would be happy with even a snack. When I left, I noticed new arrivals being served proper dishes, even though I had been told the kitchen was closed.
This felt unfair and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for your morning spot for coffee or for your neighborhood bar for an aperitivo, The Brother’s Cafe is it. First of all, the vibe is perfect. Cool but very cozy. It feels like you’ve been transported to another (cooler) time. It was our home away from home when we spent a month in Italy. We went every morning for an espresso and apple pastry, which were delicious. We often went at night for an aperitivo as well. We would drink different amaros while listening to the awesome music they played. Even more amazing were the brothers - Michele and Claudio - as well as Alice, Pattie and Georgia. They were all so warm and friendly. We looked forward to seeing them every morning. They were helpful and kind and, by the time we left, they felt like our friends. We will miss them!...
