To whom laziness to read completely, the short review - disgusting! Food was so so but the service was absolutely disgusting. Last night we went to dinner. For 11 years of annual travel in Italy - the worst place and my first bad review. The menu claims to originality and pathos, but there is neither one nor the other. We were seated at a table and for 20 minutes we were simply forgotten. Several times I asked the waiters to accepted the order, they cleaned the dishes from the nearest tables and said that in a minute they would come and not. When we got up to leave, the waiter approached us, apologized, asked not to leave and accepted the order. We ordered one pizza to share, 2 pastes and 2 gin and tonic. Since he said that pizza is cooked for 20-25 minutes, we also ordered antipasti - cod pate. After 40 minutes, they brought us pizza and starter at the same time. Drinks still not brought. After I reminded 3 different waiters that we also ordered a gin and tonic finally the waiter responsible for the drinks brought them to us and said that he had not received our order. So we got our drinks when we finished the pizza. Empty plates were removed very slowly. Olive oil, pepper and salt or cheese was not brought to us. The pizza was on thick dough and there was a lot of lemon zest in the paste. The portions were quite small, so we got up with a feeling of slight hunger. In the end, we paid 6 euro (3 euro per person) for the service. This is the only place where I even wanted to quarrel and not pay for the service, as in any eatery you will be served better than here. Such a service is not worth a euro cent! You should be ashamed of your kitchen and...
Read moreVisited the restaurant 29th of April 2018 with my wife. We have stayed in Desenzano on our 1 week trip to the lake Garda. We have visited many restaurant in Desenzano and other towns around the lake but, we only had bad experience with this one.
Restaurant: The restaurant has mixed alright atmosphere (touristy, trendy, antique, dark)and with touristy price tag.
Food: They serve fat(thick) pizza with there own style but it was really salty. Pasta was just alright.
Service: We got there after 9 pm and it took about 1hr for them to take the order. They have very little staffs but, they were keep taking customers even after 10pm. The one who served us seems not happy by the fact she's get to prepare new tables constantly even after 10pm. She was ignoring us constantly. Once she came over to us for dessert, we asked for bill but, she was looking us down for few sec then left. I was hoping she's not racist at that stage.
I only finished less than half of my pizza and they packed remainder even though I told her 'No' clearly when I was asked. Maybe she was thinking I need it anyway but, I have left it behind.
This was the only restaurant we got disappointed during our visit...
