La Vite 2.0 Wine & Cocktail bar — Restaurant in Desenzano del Garda

A group of us stopped in for a wine after dinner. This was on a night with a severe weather warning for excessive heat in the area, So as any normal person would - we initially ordered water for the table.

The waiter refused to serve just water, although our intentions were to have a few quiet wines together. He verbalised this, took the drinks menus and stormed off.

Although it was somewhat of a shock and a little entertaining - It reflects how highly pretentious the wait staff are.. or perhaps just this member (Goofy glasses, approx 5'10 with a chip on his shoulder)

Found this place whilst wandering up the street whilst the mrs was waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. Nice location away from some of the hustle and bustle of the square, with plenty of outside seating space whether it be out front between the 2 covered buildings they have, or the smaller garden area at the back of the bar itself. Once we’d finished with our dinner, we walked back to this bar for a glass of wine and some desert. Good wine selection with friendly staff to help recommend. The desert that came was presented in a way to match the modern ambience and design of the bar. Went back the next day for aperitivo. Abbiamo cenato a La Vite 2.0 la sera del 16 marzo 2025 e siamo rimasti entusiasti di questa esperienza. I piatti che abbiamo scelto erano eccellenti e dimostravano chiaramente l’uso di materie prime di alta qualità.

Il vero valore aggiunto, però, è stato Alex, il titolare. Ci ha guidato lungo tutta la cena con grande passione e competenza, consigliandoci e facendoci provare una selezione di vini perfettamente abbinati ai piatti. Ogni scelta, dal vino al passito in abbinamento ai dolci, fino a concludere con un cocktail a base di whiskey, era studiata con estrema cura e si percepiva il desiderio di regalarci un’esperienza indimenticabile.

Anche il suo dipendente, al bar, ha dimostrato un’esperienza e un’attenzione non trascurabili, contribuendo a rendere l’atmosfera ancora più accogliente e professionale.

Inoltre, Alex ha dimostrato una gentilezza straordinaria. Avendo notato che pioveva a dirotto e che eravamo senza ombrello, ce ne ha regalato uno per permetterci di tornare in hotel asciutti. Questo gesto ha reso la serata ancora più speciale.

Consigliamo vivamente La Vite 2.0 a chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza culinaria eccezionale, con un’attenzione al cliente che va ben oltre le aspettative. Non vediamo l’ora...
