Spaghetti with clams, order it. My wife and I tried this dish throughout all of Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome) and that dish here is the best we've ever had. So good, we have to come back a second time to order it again.

With going there twice we had 2 different managers in attendance. If the short one with darker hair is there, you are in for a treat. Shes incredibly friendly, funny, and helpful. Was between some bottles of wine and was extremely helpful (even recommending one of the cheapest options which is extremely uncommon...... also the bottle (I believe it was called Meastrelle) was quite good). Also after the meal, we got some dessert and complimentary limoncello (which did not come with the other manager)

As for the other food; First time I ordered the risotto with bleu cheese and green apple. This was ok, but a bit of a strange (maybe acquired) taste. Next time I ordered the Tuna with sesame seeds. Every dish I've received in Italy or France was under-cooked (which I am ok with) so I expected close to raw with the tuna, but it was cooked all the way through. Neither was a favorite. As for the appetizers, we got the mussels, cheese plate, and polenta. Cheese plate was ok (lighter cheeses), and the polenta was fine (tasted more like a hashbrown), but the mussels were fantastic. Second best we'd had in all of Italy. Great tomato based sauce that also went well with some bread and a spoon (once the bread was gone).

I highly recommend this place, but if you go, get the mussels and get the spaghetti with clams. Venture away from what I went with, and if the pattern I'm seeing makes sense, stick with something...

Il Teatro was recommended to my friends and me by the program we were studying with while abroad in Florence. I tried a few dishes from the menu, including the cacio e pepe, which was good but not my favorite. I also had the carbonara, which didn’t quite meet my expectations either. They offer free wine to students, which is a nice touch, but overall, the food didn’t wow me. That said, the ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the staff was always friendly and attentive. The place was quite busy, but they managed to serve our food at just the right time. The Hugo Spritz was fantastic, and the limoncello shots at the end of dinner were a lovely bonus. The tiramisu, however, was the best thing I had every...

Perhaps we were there on a bad night, but there were various problems. Seated in the first room with 30 or more young adults the noise level was very uncomfortable. We were delighted that our request to be seated in another room was granted! Service was very slow. Finally our second course was served with no sign of the first course. Then, when that was half eaten, the first course was plopped down with no explanation. The waitress never came to ask if we needed more wine or to check on us at all, The food was quite good, but with the lack of service we cannot recommend the restaurant. The salmon fillet was delicious, but raw in the center. It happened to be Valentine's Day so the disapointment...

Nice selection of pizza and main courses. Tiramisu was delicious and so far the nicest one we had on our trip in Firenza. Pizza was tasty and as we were sharing the pizza , they even cut it for us in two...was a nice gesture without us even asking. Our server was young boy Leo , his English was great and he was polite and so genuine, we had wonderful conversation and he has lovely smile which is rare to find in this city as they always want to make space for new customers, always in the rush! Lovely place which i do recomend!!! Leo should get a raise he is amazing!!!!

Our family stumbled into this restaurant our first night in Florence and quickly decided it would also be the place we would come back to for our final night. The staff was so warm and welcoming and the chef treated us like we were old friends. Besides that the food was amazing! There wasn't a single dish I wouldn't order again, and I would have been comfortable ordering anything, knowing it would be delicious. Very typical Tuscan and Floretine food. HIGHLY recommend spending an evening (or two) here while in Florence sampling as many dishes as you can.
