Really disappointed after seeing the good reviews online. We ordered a bottle of wine but as soon as we decided to order pasta instead of steak it was like we didn't exist. We just weren't feeling hungry enough to have a full steak as they are quite large and we didn't want to waste anything. We weren't given any bread and when we eventually asked for some the waiter visibly rolled his eyes. They didn't bring olive oil and we had to ask another table for theirs - a first for us on this trip. We watched many tables around us get much better treatment - no one came over to check on us the whole meal. I understand that we didn't order the most expensive thing on the menu but we were excited to try their pasta. The food itself was good but the overall experience really took away from it - genuinely felt like we were not wanted there. We would have stayed for dessert and more wine but just didn't want to be there anymore - left to find more somewhere else more hospitable. Happy to spend more money when treated better. Oh and it was weirdly warm, (this is October at 8:30pm). Judging by the way they reply to low reviews we will be told to go...
Read moreTo celebrate the last day of 2024, I visited with a friend at 7:30 PM and ordered T-bone steak (medium) & shrimp risotto. The T-bone steak was written as 100 euros/1kg, but since it was for 2 people, it was later printed as 150 euros on the receipt. They didn't even tell me that 2 people would get 1.5kg.
First of all, the steak was tough even considering it was medium. The risotto wasn't my taste, but it wasn't tasty.
Actually, tastelessness is subjective to my taste, so I didn't want to write a review. But..
While eating the steak, I saw something like plastic, so I told them, and the staff picked up a bag of chips next to the bread and asked if that was what was in it. We were upset at that.
Later, another employee came and said that the fat in the meat had hardened and turned into something like plastic.
Of course, that could be because of the nature of the meat, but I felt unfriendly in the way they treated us.
It was the most disappointing restaurant I've ever been...
Read moreWe really liked the food here. It is a bit pricey but good value, service and quality. They do charge you for water as they don't seem to give free tap water. All restaurants in Italy charges service fee/tips for around $2-4EUR so you don't have to tip on top of this for those of you who are from North America. The bills in Europe usually include tips/service fees already. I don't mind paying for this as the service is great at all the restaurants that I have been to and people are so nice, genuine and friendly. Love Italy and would want to come back in the future to dine & sight see. We didn't like the tripe too much but liked the Florentine steak and pasta. Ask them for recommendations on what is most popular, they give pretty good recommendations :). I really like the food quality, service here and would...
