The service was TERRIBLE. First of all, they sent us to collect the keys to their other hotel because of being past the hour they were at the reception when we arrived. When we arrived to their other hotel, the receptionist told us they did not know anything about our situation, calling to La Dimora degli Angeli, telling the receptionist they were waiting for us, despite sending us to the other hotel via e-mail just 20 minutes before. This made us lose time and got tired walking around with our luggage without any reason but miscommunication.
After we arrived, we realized the air conditioning was not working in our room. We complained about it, and the answer was that they did not know how to make it work but they were gonna send someone to fix it while we were out. When we arrived after dinner, the problem was still happening, but there wasn't anyone to complain to. We could not sleep because of the heat, and opening the windows was out of the question because the street below the room was TOO noisy, even during early morning on a Monday.
We complained the next day, and told the manager all of that happened, only telling us he was very sorry about the situation, not giving us a discount or something. We payed for a 3 stars service and were delivered a 1 star service.
Just down bad and made me have a really bad experience...
Read moreThe location of this place is outstanding. However, that's as far as it goes. The receptionist sits at a fold out table, with a computer, in a third floor apartment, adjoining the kitchen. If you have a common mobility scooter, it is very unlikely that you will fit it aboard the elevator. The first thing you notice on arrival, is that this is clearly NOT a "luxury" B&B. The reception area is cluttered and makeshift. The furniture in the hallway outside of the rooms, is cracked, torn and frayed, a large curtain covers a large hump against one wall that is the cleaning supplies and laundry. The room is not only remarkably small but it lacks a dresser or virtually anywhere to put away clothing. There is a small alcove and rod to hang some of your clothes. You realize that the pictures of the place that you saw online, were taken a long time ago. The safe does not work, the bidet is ridiculous and the sink very close to your chest when sitting on the toilet. When I expressed my astonishment to the manager, she was indignant and told me that most people only book these rooms for a couple of days. We lived out of suit cases and chaos for over two weeks. It took a force of will to overcome my anger and settle in to enjoy our visit to Florence. There is a terrific restaurant, directly...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must commend the staff for their exceptional service and the hotel's ideal location. Throughout my three-night stay, the staff exhibited professionalism and hospitality that truly enhanced my experience. The central location allowed for convenient access to various attractions, making my trip all the more enjoyable.
However, it is regrettable that my stay was marred by an unfortunate incident. Upon returning home, I realized that the discomfort me and my wife experienced during our stay was not merely an allergy, as I initially thought. We were, in fact, bitten by bed bugs. While this certainly cast a shadow on our experience, I want to emphasize that the staff's service was impeccable, and I believe this incident might have been an isolated case.
I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously, as it is crucial to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that discerning travelers expect. Despite this issue, my overall impression of the hotel is positive due to the outstanding service and convenient location. I sincerely hope that necessary measures will be taken to address this concern, ensuring that future guests can enjoy their stay without...
