Usually I don’t leave such a negative review, but I read other low rated ones agreed with them and added 1 star so people can choose a better restaurant for the same price with much better food and service. The waitress was trying to do her best, but:

We ordered the Napol pizza, but the server attempted to upsell us to a more expensive option. We declined, yet we were still charged for the upsold pizza, as reflected on the attached receipt. The pizza itself was fine, but extremely soggy—I wouldn’t have paid €12 for it, let alone the €16 we were charged.
Next, we tried the tomato and shrimp risotto, which was a serious letdown. It had the texture and flavor of mac and cheese with rice, and the shrimp were clearly previously frozen, with that unmistakable rubbery consistency. This dish bore no resemblance to a traditional risotto, and though we tried to eat what we could, it was hard to justify the €18 price tag.
The drinks—an Aperol Spritz and a Negroni—were well made, but overpriced. We paid nearly €20 for the pair, whereas the same combination has cost us no more than €13 elsewhere in Italy, including in Rome.
I’m giving two stars because the staff did kindly store our luggage while we ate, which we appreciated. However, this small gesture does not redeem what was otherwise a clearly overpriced, tourist-targeted experience.
We were staying right above this restaurant and still wouldn’t return. In all our travels, this ranks among the worst tourist traps we’ve...
Read moreMy husband and I were traveling in Florence with no specific agenda and happened upon this restaurant for lunch; we entered and were greeted with many guest that seemed to be locals, so we had a feeling we were in for a good meal and experience, and we were not disappointed! We both ordered pizza, having had pizza in several other Italian cities, including Rome, Venice, Amalfi and Naples, and can say this was some of the best we have had! The crust was simply amazing, and the salami picante on the Diavolo pizza was great hit of spice! We enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to make dinner reservations for that night as well and boy were we glad we did! When we returned for dinner we decided on a Florence classic, Florentine Steak for 2 for our entree, with a starter from the daily special menu, prosciutto with burrata and the best little fried dough balls (can't recall the exact dish name) but it was superb! Our steak was the best we had in our travels to Florence, for an amazing price to boot. We ended our meal with the most delicious tirimasu, much like pizza, we have tried this all over Italy, and this was the real deal! Seriously, go to this restaurant, you will not be...
