Unfortunately we had a bad experience here. We asked upon entering if they had nuts on the menu as one of our family members are anaphylactic. They said it would be fine to eat here and to just ask what they wanted and they would try to accomodate. So we sat down, ordered drinks, asked again about the food my partner wanted and then was told that there were nuts all in the kitchen and they couldn’t guarantee it would be safe. Very frustrating considering I just had the conversation with the waitress at the door about this. So we told them that we would have to eat elsewhere otherwise our family member would sit there with no food. My friend was using the bathroom at the time we were leaving, and a sketchy looking guy who stumbled off the street was trying to rattle the door to get in so I was waiting for my friend to safely come out. The waitress came up to me and asked me if I wanted to order and I said no I’m waiting for my friend to come out and she told me that I had to purchase something because my friend used the toilet, despite them wasting our time with the allergy situation. The gentlemen who came off the street and was making a scene wasnt asked to pay anything. I was very disgruntled, paid for a water and left. Such rude waitresses and attitudes. It wasn’t my fault you couldn’t accommodate us but let us believe you could! Pathetic service. The menu was...
Read moreJust finished having drinks here, vegetarian lasagna was great, drinks were priced appropriately but as a fellow bar owner having aperitivo with another restaurant owner (both locations in florence city center) - i know that the little bowl of chips that they give us with the aperitivo cost the bar nothing- and if the drinks are priced as what they are - 8€ for a spritz - they should not be charged extra (in the scontrino it’s added as “cucina”). If we had ordered just 2 drinks and kept asking for more - it would make sense to make us pay for it - but we had 5. We also noticed another customer break a chair and fall but the staff didn’t move an inch - but the vendor who sells keychains ran to his rescue. Which brings me to my next point - the chairs and tables are so chipping with paint and are so weak they belong in an antique store. The only highlight of this place id...
Read moreThe first day, we went to grab a double espresso, 2 people, 4€ in total, take away - everything was nice and good, the staff was helpful and friendly. The second day (on 17/07 Sunday, around 10:00 AM), we went again (as we really liked the place) to grab the same coffee for 2 people, take away. The barman (different one in this case) this time charged us 6€ (3€ per coffee). The million dollar question is: who do you think you are joking? The fact that you are in Florence, and you deal with many tourists per day, does not mean that you are the smart one, instead, you should be brain dead, Mr.Barman of 17 of July, 2022 if you think that tourists are idiots. The majority of the double espresso in Italy costs on average 2-2.2€. I did not want to argue because my mood and the vibe of the city helped, so I grabbed my extra priced espresso and went to the train station to...
