If you are looking for top quality, genuine buttery soft leather goods that are handmade by the locals, this is the place to be. Mirko the owner and the designer behind all the beautiful creations is just wonderful! I picked a ready-made black leather jacket that just needed a little adjustment to fit me better, so we were told to come and pick up the jacket the next morning. When we came back the next morning, Mirko had not only made perfect adjustments, but he also added an extra pocket to the leather jacket to surprise me! I couldn't believe it!!! He noticed i preferred the pockets on the other jackets that i tried on, but I never asked for the pocket to be added onto the jacket I chose, because i thought it would just be too much trouble. But not only he observed and listened, and completely went over and beyond to exceed our expectations, with no extra charge at all! Now I have a jacket that is absolutely perfect. I couldn't recommend Mirko and his team highly enough, if you are in Florence and looking for great quality handmade leather jackets or bags, please do yourself a favour, and don't buy the cheap goods from the markets and go to Atelier Classe, you won't be disappointed. There are certain things I'm proud to wear. None of them are "designer" factory made. Of all the custom suits, shirts, etc, that I own, the ones that get the most compliments and that I love to wear are the spectacular handmade items made by Mirko in Florence. I designed a leather coat that Mirko helped bring to life. He sent me leather samples, months in advance and prior to my visit to Florence to make sure it was perfect. The result is a leather coat that whether in LA, NY, DC, or Chicago...friends always ask while touching the suppleness of the leather, "Where did you get that beautiful coat?" Proudly, I tell them it was custom made by Mirko. The second and most recent item I designed and created by Mirko is a men's crocodile bag. I designed it specifically large enough to carry my laptop, 2 passports, 2 mobile phones, and a matching cash holder. Mirko made suggestions knowing I wanted it to be stylish yet masculine, recommending gun metal hardware. He used the belly of the crocodile on the front and back, resulting in a one of a kind bag that will last for years to come. If you want something memorable and special, don't hesitate!
