Food was excellent! We were excited when we read all the reviews and hence decided to go for dinner. Soon after walking in, we noticed a subtle change in behavior from the waitress serving us and experienced what looked like subtle racism/stereotypes for us - despite us being so friendly from the start. Our table wasn’t served bread and also was the only table that got a “chili oil” without us asking, sure fine. The waitress then came over to ask my wife if she likes the food and asked her a second time “are you sure??” and she implied apparently that the speed at which she was eating was indicative of her not liking the food… when the other table across from us had people eating very slow as well.

Then, at the end no remark whatsoever when we paid the bill. Your waitress didn’t deserve any additional gratuity otherwise we would’ve been gracious enough to tip her. Next time, treat all your customers with the same decency and respect, regardless of the color of their skin and nationality and then maybe, you wouldn’t see feedback like this again. I highly recommend that if you’re Asian/non-white, you think twice before coming here. Stay away.

EDIT (reply to restaurant): To clarify, we are not from India or Bangladesh. We are from the US. We noticed every other table was provided a bread basket (regardless of the food) prior to getting their food. FYI - one of the dishes we ordered was a pasta dish. Please kindly treat everyone with...

I went to this restaurant with friends with intention to have a pleasant evening. We were welcomed by a friendly waiter, and the pizza and beverages were excellent. We really liked this location, and I have to admit that we had a great time until our waiter concluded his shift and was replaced with a waitress. When we asked for the menu to order dessert, the waitress made it clear that we were annoying her and that she did not want to serve us, throwing the menu on the table and shaking her head in disgust. She then neglected to approach us, despite having past us several times. You could detect passive aggression from her. After a very enjoyable time, she made us feel so miserable that we gave up on dessert. When we enquired for the bill, she refused to bring it to us; she was blatantly chatting about us with other employees. She eventually tossed the bill on the table without even asking how we were going to pay, didn't look at us, and didn't come over for the next 20 minutes... we've never seen such arrogant, unprofessional behaviour in a restaurant. The cuisine - EXCELLENT but the atmosphere of a place is also the people, therefore, very unprofessional, unfriendly, distasteful customer service of this lady, leaves a bad taste and an unpleasant...

As usually I read reviews before going to the restaurants especially now when there are a lot of touristy places in Florence where they just cook average food because they are busy even without trying… this place is different!! I was just walking and saw this place. The guy who was standing outside said he would pay for my food if I don’t like it… but I loved the food and I am so happy I listen to him! This place has delicious food and great service! Some dishes are special, like artichoke antipasto. If I tried it without knowing it was artichoke I wouldn’t guess. Also their meat menu is pretty impressive. Their ossobuco was the best in my life. And I am very picky when it comes to food. Ended up coming here again and going to come back more to try more out of their menu. I noticed a lot of local people coming here. This is the first sign the food is really good. Even their bread is super good! They have great selection of wine and even made an exemption and made one of my favorite wines by glass. One more detail is the interior design of this restaurant is pretty nice and when a lot of people sit and talk it is still not loud because of the space between the tables. Highly recommend this place. And I will be...

Just previously read about this place near the Galileo Museo & Basilica Croce on the Southeast side. Lots of overall positive reviews of the aforementioned attributes: 5 stars in every aspect. My gf and I walked about 8 mins to this lively spot after leaving the Galileo; it’s our final night in Firenze so we wanted a high quality meal to remember the city by —and that we got— along with friendly service staff. Carbonara was done to perfection here, al dente & tasty—- some other places just don’t get it right. Raviolis with meat sauce and roasted sea bass (branzino) with thinly sliced yukon potatoes, capers & sun dried tomatoes were also well executed. I’d spent 20yrs in kitchens career wise and this is how hospitality/F & B industry should strive for. We didn’t do dessert, but I’m sure they’re also very good. Bes was our server along with a sweet young lady and good natured male host.

We came here for a late lunch on a dreary wet day. I ordered the Ribolitta Soup, which is apparently a traditional Tuscan dish. Hands down, the best meal I’ve had in Italy so far. We’ve been here 13 days and eaten out for every single meal. This dish, at this caffe tops them all. The service was also phenomenal, and we were paired the perfect vino. My husband ordered a traditional florentine steak, and he said it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The vibe here was also really cute, with gorgeous tables, stunning architecture and really impressive lighting. We weren’t sure on it at first, based on it being “Caffe Italiano”, but my god don’t let the name stop you. It was genuinely amazing.
