Trattoria San Pierino — Restaurant in Florence

Let me just begin by saying, any review under 5 stars is a liar, I wish Google let me leave something higher than 5 stars because Trattoria San Pierino deserves it! We came here on our first night and absolutely fell in love with the food, BEST FOOD IN ITALY!! We went to Milan, Venice, Rome, even around Florence and no one holds a candle to this place, stop dining at those tourist traps and come here. First night I had the “Polpo e seppia alla griglia con catalana di verdure” (Octopus and fish with vegetables) and second night I had the “Filetto alla griglia con patate alla ghiotta” (steak and potatoes), my wife had the “Calamarata alla San Pierino” and the “Ravioli di ricotta e limone al tonno” and even she could not contain her joy at how good the food was. I promise, it’s so worth it!! The prices are so good too, you get so much food for the price, we have been to soooo many places where you pay 15€ for a “primi piatti” and there’s barely anything on the plate, this place leave you feeling full and like you got your moneys worth. A chance opportunity got us here for dinner, and little did we know we would be mind blown by everything they have got to offer.

From the smiles and attentiveness of the service staff, to the quality of the food, the experience was perfect and so satisfying.

The food is incredible! We had the best pasta we had throughout our trip. Cooked to perfection - al dente - and the texture was nothing short of amazing. The flavours of the ingredients all came through and everything was devoured in no time. The Florentine steak’s doneness and meat juice is just… Benessimo ❤️ Most of all, their Tiramisu, aka ‘Fantastic Tiramisu’ as the owner calls it is pretty out of the world. You absolutely have to try it.

The owner of the place goes around to check on on each table to ensure satisfaction of the dining experience. You will feel like you are visiting a relative’s home and be welcomed and pampered.

Look no further should you want to have a taste of locality and a filled tummy 🤤

Perfect meal for my last night in Firenze. The staff was very helpful and the owner himself helped serve us as well. Very accommodating to tourist and the ambience was fantastic. It felt like they were letting us eat in their home. The service is one of the best I’ve had in all of Europe, it was the only restaurant in two weeks of traveling that asked if we were sharing a plate and then split it into 2 plates for us. The food was incredible! The tagliatelle was fresh and from first bite you can tell it’s made from scratch in house. The Bistecca alla Florentina was also incredible.
