View on Art Rooftop Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Florence

Horrific experience. Beautiful view, but everything else completely ruined any enjoyment we would have gotten from the view. BIGGEST SCAM IN ALL OF ITALY. You can get the view of the duomo from a lot of other places. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! Here's the low down..our reservation was for 6. We arrived a few minutes before. They seated us pretty quickly and I was excited because of the great view at a high top table. However, tight space so people were bumping into us as they rounded the corner. And listen, I found this place through social media, so I expected there to be some wannabe influencers taking photos, but that is literally all this place is. People come here to take selfies or pose for their friends which ok, fine, but they do it in front of your table so half the time people were standing in front of us in front of the great view. Noone was coming to take our order, so at 6:15 we asked our server if we can order our drinks (2 spritzes). At 6:30 we got our drinks. At 6:45 we were finished with our drinks and asked our server for 2 more. She said no. We were like wait really? And she was like sorry, we have another reservation. This was NOT communicated to us. We only had 15 minutes at our table with our drink?? We asked when we had to leave our table and our server said 'now'. What???? We pushed back. How does that make any sense. And then she took back her words probably because she realized how idiotic this scenario was and said 7:00. This whole time, she was so rude to us, I have never been spoken to like this before by anyone, let alone someone in the service industry. So then WE pushed back and said why can't we order a drink..we drank our other drink in 15 minutes. And she said sorry, the bar is backed up. We asked to speak with a manager and he said the same thing and was equally as rude to us. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. So we decided we would wait until 7 to leave to try to get the most out of it (and frankly, prove a point, not that it would get through their thick skulls). Get this..they didn't even bring us the bill for 10 more minutes...they were trying to kick us out but then didn't give us the bill to pay. God, it was SO tempting to leave without paying. But we're better than that. We paid, left, and then told people on our way out not to go there. Needs better management. Needs nicer staff. Needs to reevaluate literally everything about it. Don't waste a second of your time in this beautiful city in this awful...

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Do not come here. Sure the view is nice, but if it’s during summer and it’s so hot you’re sweating the entire time in addition to being ignored or being yelled at then it’s not worth it. We arrived with no reservation and the staff started arguing in front of us for a couple of minutes. Finally we got seated but we got stuck with the waitress who was yelling and arguing with her fellow staff members. She was extremely rude. Almost every service person here in Florence has been absolutely terrible and has just ruined our trip. This was our last full day in Florence and we wanted to spend it at one of their rooftop bars for aperitivo time and was treated like crap. Waitress never checked on us, our drinks took 25-30 minutes to be served. Eventually this waitress yelled at a table near us that they couldn’t move to a table on the side of the duomo (after being told they could move by another waitstaff), she eventually let them stay only because they had to promise to finish their drinks before a 7:30 reservation. We eventually were waiting and waiting to order more drinks and finally got to until another rude staff member yelled at us that we had to leave by 7:30. Which was in 25 minutes. When they finally came back with our drinks we were told we had to finish them quickly. By then I just asked if we could just be seated elsewhere , which we were but you could tell they were just so annoyed by us! The service was horrible , the place is filled with english speaking people, people snapping pictures in your face or next to you, and the drinks are expensive and very watered down! It was cloudy and hot so for us it just was an overall bad experience and would not recommend. There are other rooftop bars to go give business to, try literally anywhere else. tldr: the biggest TOURIST SCAM ever!!!! Overpriced menu and forced us to pay for visiting despite wanting to leave after seeing the menu.

I went with a group of 4 girlfriends on a Saturday night as we were looking for a cute place to get drinks. Our experience was so AWFUL. First, were sat around the corner where there was no view whatsoever as there are only like 10 tables with genuine rooftop views. Second, the menu is INSANELY overpriced. They were trying to charge us €14 for a spritz, when we had been buying and drinking spritz all day for less than €8 - some places were even €5. After we saw how overpriced the menu was we decided to leave as it was definitely not worth the (lack of) view. We were there for maybe 3-5mins max. As we tried to leave, the waitress tried to stop us and say we had to pay them as she “saw us take pictures of the view”. She literally tried to stop us from leaving and the bartender also started arguing with us. We barely even sat let alone had time to take photos and I even pulled out my camera roll to show her that I didn’t take photos. Nonetheless they refused to believe us and continued to insist that we had definitely taken photos and only came up to do that. I tried to tell them that the issue was that their menu sucked but they didn’t want to hear any of it……

Ultimately had a proper 5-10min argument with them before I decided this is an absolute waste of my time and just left. Genuinely a ridiculous ordeal to put a customer through especially when (1) I was there for max 5mins, (2) was sat in an area with LITERALLY NO VIEW and (3) showed them my camera roll which had NO PHOTOS.
