Dined here about a month ago. I am not one to complain or leave bad reviews but this was a whole different experience. First the service was not great, after we sat down it took them ages to come back to take our order despite only 3 tables (including ours) being filled. We ordered 2 drinks and a small starter to share. The dish was an eggplant fritti sort of thing, which took a while to come out, especially for it to be a reheated dish that was still frozen in the centre. We politely mentioned something to our waiter and they did nothing about it but decide to ignore us and when we tried to pay we had to go and find the manager (?) to pay. Once we found the manager, he wasn’t very polite or apologetic. We were shocked we were charged for this still frozen food… Table service (coperto) was 3 euros each which was ridiculous for the service we got, as well as the fact there was no table linen or bread or water given to us. Wouldn’t recommend even though the interiors were nice - beware the look...

It was uncomplicated but also presented very elegantly, and of course, all was made with extremely fresh ingredients. The wines were also some of the best, as they also carry exclusive locally-sourced varietals that I couldn't find anywhere else. Between the quality of the food, the warm and inviting service, and the striking atmosphere (all designed thoughtfully to compliment the structure's original bones while also being very modern and unique), it was a highlight on our trip. Can't recommend this...
Read moreStunningly beautiful cistern cave with many rooms, amazing finishes and a great wine cellar. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Hugo spritz tasted of simple syrup, not sambuco at all. Mushroom flan was rich and flavorful, but could have used a texture or other accenting garnish - it was lost in itself too much. Chickpea fritters were unpleasantly moist inside with a forgettable sauce - skip these. Meat rolls with sausage stuffing were fantastic, as was the peperonata. Cold baccala with cruschi was an interesting and mostly successful blend of color, flavor, and texture. Would definitely return...
