TOURIST TRAP!! Let me just say that the waiter was really nice and kind, but that has to be the only thing good about this place. The first sign that put me off was the menu, it has unattractive pictures and way too many items on there. The table preparation was really bad and the chairs were the cheapest plastic you can get. Before we got the food they brought extremely dry and bad-tasting bread which felt like leftover bread from a week ago. The food was not horrible, but really bad. The pizza tasted frozen and had a hard soggy bottom. The salad was bland and had canned tuna splattered on top with overcooked eggs. The pasta carbonara was room temperature (should be warm) and the bacon was horrible (tasted like canned and deep frozen bacon bits). It was very noisy and unattractive seating there, but at least it was close to the Duomo Cathedral. When we paid, we had to pay 8€ for the horrible table preparation which is equivalent to a whole plate of pasta there. In other words, you are paying for another meal just for nothing. Disappointed by a place so close to such a valuable landmark.

A tourist trap and a fraudster place. We usually avoid such places but we had just arrived in Milan and were very hungry and picked this without and due diligence. The waiter was a kind man. There ended everything good about the restaurant. The pizza was average at best and the grilled chicken dish was an abomination. It was as if they cooked the whole thing with generous portions of salt! And when the bill came I was shocked. The items we ordered all were charged a euro more than the price on the menu they have us. What a SCAM! They also charged us a cover charge without explaining what is this for. I presume it was for the bread but you would think it is complementary in an Italian restaurant. Be aware, it is not. And we did not ask for it. Finally the nail on the coffin was the lady at the cash. She was unfriendly with absolutely no reason. Forget pleasantries, not even a smile or acknowledgement of a customers presence. These are the people who give Milan a bad name. Please please avoid.

While walking through the area I, was looking for some pasta. The menu outdoors looked like just what I wanted. I looked it up to see the reviews and saw 3.3 stars but decided, we're in Italy, it can't be too bad, right? Wrong. After being sat, our grumpy waiter came to take our order. I ordered tagliatelle bolognese, my companion ordered spaghetti with clams. Bland is the only word I can use to describe my food. The sauce tasted like watered down ragu. This was the only time in Milan I used salt. I wished I was at Olive Garden because at least there I would have got free bread sticks, salad and enough flavor to enjoy the food. The spaghetti wasn't much better. My beer, a Heineken due to lack of choice, was the best part of my meal. The wine was the best part of hers. When the check came, there was a $2 cover charge. They charge a fee just for sitting down. £40 for my least enjoyable meal in the city.

The food was good. It was my first time trying a pizza that had an egg on it and it was delicious! The potatoes that came with the steak were perfectly crisp and the fish soup was super good especially for the winter weather. To be honest, I feel that fish soup was a bit misleading because it came with clams and mussels but it was still good nonetheless. (Okay I just saw that there was soup with seafood so maybe we got that instead?? Pretty sure we got the fish soup one though). The orange juice was genuinely fresh. I could see and feel the pulp in sip.

We ate here on 24 Nov 2024 which is a Sunday at 2pm or 3pm and the ground floor was really busy. We went up and sat on the first floor (the second level) and there was only one waiter. The was a good view of the bustling street but we had slower service than the ground floor in sending our orders in. It was slower but not that slow. Maybe only a 7min wait?

I feel like I have to add this in but the toilet was the worst part of the restaurant. I do understand that it is not the main purpose of the restaurant. It's a shared toilet and the toilet bowl I basically a round thing to sit on and do your business. Beside a plant. And there isn't even a lock. The rim of the bowl was so dirty and there wasn't even a seat for ladies to pull down and sit on like...

Tourist trap, run away from this place.

Not very attentive staff and very unfriendly to customers. They entice you to come in but once inside, the behaviour of the waiters is really unappreciable. We didn't get any bread or condiments. Their behaviour towards us was borderline racist. No consideration, mocking glances and an almost condescending attitude.

We ordered dishes that were well presented on the menu, we thought the price (22 and 25 euros) was worth it but we were sorely disappointed. The dishes served were neither in line with the photos on the menu nor were they appetising. I had ordered the veal with saffron risotto, but there were more bones than meat in the dish. The other order was the entrecote steak and roast potatoes, the so-called roast potatoes looked as if they had been cooked the day before, and the entrecote steak was not at all tasty.

The placemats provided were not clean, we had to ask the waiter to change them, although he could see that the placemats were not clean.

The toilets were not cleaned properly at all.

In short, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, the food isn't good and the service isn't at all good.

There are much better options around the...
