A splendid cafe in the heart of Milan, its inside a beautiful courtyard with a relaxing atmosphere and super quiet. You’d never know there’s a cafe inside!! Its not so big therefore, you need to make a reservation, I just walked in and I was placed to sit on the high chairs which was totally fine with me. I had an avocado toast. I’m not fond of porched eggs but they were kind enough to prepare scrambled eggs for me (thank you chef) it was amazing!. The hot chocolate was good. The service was friendly and quick. Impossibile descrivere in poche righe il meraviglioso e infinito mondo di Romanengo Genova. Romanengo ha mantenuto nel tempo la sua originaria identità di confetteria, nell’accezione più tradizionale: una fabbrica dove la frutta, i fiori, le spezie e gli aromi vengono lavorati con lo zucchero. La produzione infatti è ancora organizzata secondo il modello ottocentesco francese e italiano, con la divisione per reparti di un grande laboratorio: questi reparti, chiamati botteghe, sono guidati dai nostri artigiani che seguono fedelmente i ricettari sia dell’antica figura del “confiseur-chocolatier” sia dell’arte genovese della canditura. Questa è l’arte del confettiere: conservare i prodotti della natura e imitarne l’aspetto e il gusto, attraverso le sapienti lavorazioni dello zucchero. Tre spazi distinti raccontano Romanengo a Milano. La bottega della confetteria, con tutto l'autentico assortimento; la bottega dei té e delle spezie, per riproporre il legame di questi prodotti con l'origine dall'azienda; La Corte, un luogo ispirato ai salon de thé francesi che diventa un rifugio dove riscoprire il lento scorrere del tempo. Nella confetteria verrete accolti da Livia e Jasmine, due gentilissime signore che non solo sapranno consigliarvi il meglio a seconda dei vostri gusti, ma vi forniranno tantissimi dettagli e aneddoti sulla storia di Romanengo e sugli accadimenti d'epoca.
