GROM — Restaurant in Milan

It was my second time at this Grom in Milano. The gelato is super good, specifically the pistachio flavor, amazing. However, this time the service (april 1, easter day at 10pm) was really bad. The 2 girls, which i think are trainees (or at least i'm sure one of them is) were not professional at all. The gelato was gonna fall off in the first cone she was filling. They were pressing us to order quickly while all we were doing were ask for their opinion to know what to choose. That was not welcoming at all. We asked how many scoops we can put in each cone size and they answered. Then, we asked if we can have 2 flavors per scoop, so half a scoop per flavor, they said yes. While they were filling them for us, one got mad when we chose 2 flavors for 1 scoop and started mumbling words and throwing around the spoon that she was using to fill the gelato. They also started talking together in Italian knowing we won't understand them. This was extremely disrespectful, and humiliating for Grom. Also, the scoops were really small... in my first visit here, in the same Grom, which was 1 month ago approximately, the scoops were double the size (the other staff were super generous and friendly that time). The same girl who got mad, was also being disrespectful to the customers after us, and it seemed it was because they did not immediately understand which sizes are available. if you're planning a shopping day at Corso Buenos Aires, do yourself a favor and don't skip this ice cream (sorry - GELATO…).

It was a hot sunny day, and you know how shopping can be tiring, right?

So I got myself a "Coppetta Grande" (large cup) which cost 4.00 euros with three flavors - strawberries, pistachio & salted caramel.

The price was more than fair for what I received - size and tase-wise.

And boy, oh boy! I wish I could share with you a bit of a lick of it because it t tasted SO GOOD!

Moreover, the texture was exceptional, probably thanks to the silos in which the gelato is stored. I stared like a child at the machines that prepared it for several minutes because the preparation process was hypnotizing.

The ingredients seemed of good quality, and the gelato was fresh. I got lucky with the pistachio flavor because I got it exactly when the machine stopped spinning, and the gelato was ready.

Inside the store, there was great air conditioning, and few benches to sit and eat without pressure.

To summarize, I'm glad that I've been there and would love to come...

Don't get me wrong, the icecream is amazing but the blonde guy behind the counter shouldn't be there... first time i went there he burnt my waffle and spilled stuff all over the place, 3 weeks later he gave me a very watery hazelnut milkshake (asked for one with milk) and forgot to put the very tasty cream on top.. his female colleague didn't seem too happy with him both times.. I'm sorry for the personal attack, but from a business point of view this guy will...
