L'Alter Bar — Restaurant in Milan

So was in Milan for for a day, all the bars around the city Square are way to expensive & tourists trap bars. Just a short scooter ride a few blocks away from the tourist area is L'Alter Bar. I felt like this is a more true local place. My Italian is nonexistent, so English was used. Several on staff spoke enough English. It's a small place, so the real enjoyment is seating outside on the sidewalk. All the drinks were top notch. Chocolate martini, Mojito, and cold beer. Didn't order any food, but what food i saw on other tables looked good. So if in Milan tourist area treat yourself to a local bar, it's just short eBike/ eScooter ride away from all that and enjoy a drink...

we had a lovely time at l'alter. it was pleasantly busy with a hip crowd, so we decided to take a seat. I had a couple delicious campari blood orange cocktails, and we were provided a complimentary board of cheese and cured meats. Alessandro was our charming server who we ended up becoming friends with and sharing a shot of Montenegro with (if his boss is reading this - just kidding). Allora, avevo "lumato" (come si dice qui a Milano "adocchiare" questo localino-chicca a settembre nella splendido viale alberato Vincenzo Monti: mi aveva colpito l'atmosfera data dalle luci e lo stile originale, oltre che ovviamente il nome. Si prenota su Instagram: la proprietaria risponde subito ed è gentilissima (il locale è pieno già da prima delle 19, quindi meglio prenotare, ma c'è un buon ricambio. Ho scelto di sedermi dentro perché ero vestita abbastanza leggera ma anche in veranda si stava bene 😉 Mi hanno subito accolta con energia frizzante e positiva: mi hanno servito un antipasto per due, anche se ero da sola e fatto pagare solo per uno! Ho letteralmente spazzolato la coppa e il salame, ma in particolare la coppa piacentina, tagliata divinamente " dalla proprietaria (anch'io ho un'affettatrice a casa e so cosa vuol dire). Ho chiesto se la prossima volta avrei potuto avere un piatto solo di coppa ed ebbene sì! Sono stata ribattezzata la "ragazza della coppa" 😂 Ho chiesto la doggy bag per portare le piadine al mio Little boy a casa e Lei mi ha regalato due fette di piadine vegetariane appena sfornate per farmele trovare. Un tesoro! Anche i ragazzi al bar: super simpatici e spiritosi. Un bel team di servizio, cibo regionale di qualità, location d'atmosfera e ricercata, nome milanese... Ho speso 9 euro con un calice di vino e l'acqua: che dire? Andrò lì tutti i mercoledì dopo l'uni!
