McDonald’s used to be known for consistency and convenience, but after the recent scandal, it is impossible to see the brand with the same eyes. What should have been a simple meal now feels like a gamble with quality and safety.
The real problem is trust. Once customers start questioning what is really in the food, the entire foundation of the brand collapses. Instead of clear answers and transparent accountability, McDonald’s has responded with silence, vague statements, and corporate spin. For a company of this size, with millions of families relying on it every day, that is simply unacceptable.
Visiting the restaurants only reinforces this disappointment. Food quality is inconsistent, often served lukewarm or poorly prepared. Service is rushed and impersonal. Cleanliness in several locations falls below even basic standards. Combined with the shadow of the scandal, every bite now feels tainted with doubt.
It is shocking that a global leader would allow itself to fall so low. McDonald’s has the resources to set the highest standards in the industry, but instead it has chosen shortcuts, cost-cutting, and damage control. The scandal made one thing clear: the brand’s priorities are not the customers, but the profits.
For me, McDonald’s no longer represents safety, trust, or value. Until the company makes real, visible changes, starting with honesty, I cannot recommend it to anyone. The golden arches are supposed to symbolize happiness, but now they only remind us of what happens when...
Read moreI received extremely poor service at this McDonald’s, which is completely different from my past experiences. It’s not surprising given the number of similar comments on this site.
When I need a quick meal with good air conditioning and a decent atmosphere, I usually choose McDonald’s. However, the behavior of the "security guards" at this location was unacceptable.
I wanted to sit at a table while my friend ordered our meals (the table was not even cleaned after the last customer). A man approached me, stating that I couldn’t sit without ordering. I explained that my friend was ordering and the store was crowded, which might take some time. Despite this, he repeatedly approached me, demanding proof that my friend was actually ordering and even mimicking my actions with my phone. Trying to cooperate, I showed him my friend.
After finishing my meal, I couldn’t rest or wait for my friend to return from the restroom. Another "security guard" insisted I leave immediately. This is the first time I’ve experienced such terrible service at McDonald’s, where it felt like they were rushing to kick me out to serve new customers.
I’ve seen many similar comments requesting re-training, but it seems clear: "THEY ARE TRAINED FOR THIS MANNER" since nothing has changed in...
This was a truly terrible experience at the McDonald’s Duomo location. On the afternoon of July 30th, I had just entered the store to meet a friend when I was immediately stopped by a security guard at the staircase. I had no idea why. My friend had informed me in advance that her phone was about to die and asked me to go upstairs to find her. We had agreed that whoever arrived first would wait for the other upstairs and choose a good spot, so we could order together and avoid the food getting cold. However, the guard insisted that I could not go upstairs without a purchase receipt.
If this is a store policy, I respect that — but at the very least, it should be explained politely. Instead, the guard’s attitude was extremely harsh and rude from the very beginning. His tone was unpleasant, and he showed a complete lack of courtesy and professionalism. He spoke in an aggressive, disrespectful manner that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. What upset me even more was the clear sense of racial discrimination. As a Chinese woman, I could clearly feel that I was being treated with suspicion and exclusion. Not being allowed to go upstairs without a receipt — not even just to wait for a friend — is already a questionable rule. But enforcing it in such a disrespectful and unfriendly way is absolutely unacceptable. I’m a naturally shy person, and being embarrassed like that in front of so many people made me feel humiliated. I didn’t even dare argue with the guard and had to walk away feeling ashamed and frustrated.
I sincerely hope that the store manager will take this issue seriously. I strongly recommend replacing this guard with someone who is more respectful, polite, and professional. Such rude and discriminatory behavior seriously damages the image and reputation...
