Pizzeria The King — Restaurant in Milan

HEADS UP FOR TOURISTS, STAY AWAY FROM A TOURIST TRAP!

To begin with, I have lived in Milan for 2.5 years and I speak intermediate Italian. This was a visit to Milan after 11 years.

We ordered two pizzas and two beer at this place just before our flight with my girlfriend. The pizzas were Fantasia, costs EUR9 and Deliciosa costs EUR8.5 according to their menu. The bottled 33 cl beers including the expensive Heineken, Birra Moretti costs EUR2.5. They serves us 44 cl tap bier, tap bier which is almost always cheaper than the bottled beer.

At the end, my girlfriend, who is Dutch and doesn't speak any Italian paid the bill. They charged EUR10 for both pizzas and EUR5 for each beer, in total EUR30. Basically, this is a tourist rip off of at least EUR6.5 assuming tap bier costs EUR3 considering the price of bottled biers. I realized this a bit later after paying and leaving the place. We didn't have time to fight over it as we had a tight schedule due to our flight. But nothing makes this behavior right, it is a tourist trap.

All tourists, please stay away if you care about being ripped off. Otherwise, realize this review and it is your responsibility to go and be ripped off.

For me, I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. I won't be richer or poorer because of EUR6.5 but, I cannot accept this behavior....

The place is so inviting with friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. We ordered entree with 2 different kinds of salami and prosciutto which you eat with some kind of fried bread sticks - it was so delicious. We then ordered Fantasia Pizza that was very well topped with the Chef recommendations and again it so yummy. The restaurant also offer a good variety of alcoholic drinks and other beverages. The service was outstanding and the owner, who makes the pizzas himself, came to greet us and have a warm chat with us which made the experience...

Best local fresh Pizza!! My friend and I where desperately trying to go to a local restaurant. The good reviews made us curious. And boy did they not disappoint. The Pizza was crunchy but soft, perfectly seasoned and just delicious!!! The young waiter was super friendly and helped us choose the perfect pizza.
