Well, I don't write bad reviews often and I want to explain it to the restaurant rather than just leave a bad review. The start was great - a very hospitable waiter got us a glass of wine while we were waiting for a table. The menu looked great - a good choice of creative dishes. The appetizer I got (melanzana) was fantastic and I was really looking forward to my seafood pasta. My daughter got truffle pasta. First, it took so long to get our mains - another table got their ribeye and pasta, and they had ordered after us, and we had to wait for another 15 minutes. But ok, I don't mind waiting for good food. However,I'm sorry, but this was one of the most flavorless pastas I've had in my life - even salt was lacking, and it was supposed to have colatura di alici - so you understand it should have been flavorful and salty. Nope. Just plain pasta, butter and three limp shrimps. My daughter's truffle pasta was just a little bit better, but still not good. I don't know what happened in the kitchen, looking at all these positive reviews, but I'd never suggest this restaurant to anyone. Again, sorry for posting such a negative review, but I felt like a fool paying...

We had a fantastic meal at Sugo last week - the food, atmosphere and service were all exceptional. We were only in Milan for one night before catching a flight and staying right near the Duomo, so I was sure we'd end up in a mediocre touristy place and was totally delighted to instead find this hidden gem of a restaurant in a quiet street in the centre. The waiter was so lovely and took such great care of us throughout the meal - he made it a truly lovely experience. The food was delicious and flavourful and used seasonal ingredients. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and that the other diners seemed to be locals (if you're not, don't worry, the waiter spoke excellent English and was patient with my terrible attempts at Italian, and there is an English menu). I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a more genuine Milan experience and want a relaxed, high quality meal right in the heart...

An absolute hidden gem! Small restaurant with a top chef and an amazing team to complete the experience! We would give 10 stars, if possible! 5 travelers from Virginia, USA, enjoyed a cozy environment, nice wine selection, seafood appetizer, Fruiti Misto, of calamari, shrimp and ?. Fresh and delicious! The bread and tomato bruschetta-like topping was so very flavorful. We also enjoyed the carbonara, branzino, and a very tender steak. The fresh made pasta was perfection. Luis took amazing care of us and helped us navigate the menu, given our very limited understanding of the language. Thank you for hosting our family - we will not forget our evening! Oh, and reservations are available online, which is...

A Hidden Gem Near the Duomo! Tucked away just a few blocks from the iconic Duomo, a delightful culinary haven. The staff at Sugo are incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment you step inside, you feel like an honored guest. The menu offers a delightful selection of Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The Guancia di vitello cooked to perfection, is a must-try. I recommend to pair it with a glass of red wine for a memorable dining experience. The ambience strikes the right balance between cozy and contemporary. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Sugo Milano is a hidden gem worth discovering. Buon appetito! 🍝🍷

Fantastic concept just few steps away Duomo, in a very cozy shopping street. The team (both at service and inside the kitchen) is extremely pleasant and ready to take your orders, requests, and suggestions with a very friendly approach. The restaurant serves food both to locals and tourists, an other sign of the quality of ingredients and style of dishes. Prices aren't cheap but you can always go to McD in case of austerity. Molto molto raccomandato!
