This place was a huge disappointment. The food was mediocre at best, particularly for the prices they charge. Most notably the “catch of the day” branzino/sea bass smelled fishy and was not very fresh, especially compared to the numerous other restaurants I’ve been to in Milan. Looking back, I regret not immediately sending the fish back because it was unacceptable that it had such a fishy smell. Also the smoked duck and foie gras dish was very mediocre. The attitude of the servers was also questionable. When the main course/ second course came out not once did they ask if the food was good. The busboy was nice and polite, but the impression I got from the two main servers/ managers is that they were pretending to be nice but they are not genuine. It was a strange feeling. For example, one of them explained the menu and immediately turned around and walked away before I had a chance to ask a question. Had to wait a few minutes to get him back. Then I waved him over when we were ready. He nodded at me and then walked over to another table. I also overheard the other waiter/manager speaking to guests at other tables. With one older couple he asked the lady why she was using a fork to eat this small pizza ball they give you at the beginning of the meal. Seemed a bit rude. The same waiter was asking for an explanation from a man at another table why he wanted his steak well done. He asked, what don’t you like? The blood or that’s it’s not hot in the middle? The guy was like uhh.. I guess both? I’ve never seen anything like that before. The decor of the restaurant was nice, but between the price, the quality of food, and the servers which made me feel uncomfortable, I give this place 2 stars and do...
Read moreAs a Milan resident, I have the priviledge to enjoy the city's offering on various fine dining and by far with a great dissapointment, this is my worst experience!
Furthermore, I am even flabbergasted to even considered that this is a michelin accrediation - A huge embarassement!!
It started to be a great Sunday till the point we were taken to our seat:
After 45 minutes: Menu (QR code) were provided After 15 minutes : Our order were taken After 60 minutes: Our dish were delivered to our table.
I don't think is this is justified duration for an expensive restaurant.
This is obviously boils down to poor management in the front line!! We observed that the staff is working very hard due to skeleton in numbers to manage the large volume of guests in the restaurant. But I don't really understand why the lady which I presumed is the manager (since she is in the front cover smiling cheek to cheek on the restaurant's website) did not have the decency to do her job by managing the well being of each table. This is such a deceit!!! In fact, she seems to be slowing down the operations and trying to hide whenever she smells any trouble arises. Obviously, it leaves all her staffs who obviously more professional and pleasant enough to face the music and clean the mess.
I strongly suggest that her bosses / partners provide more investment in her management skills which I believe that is strongly needed!
To be fair, we convey our angst to the cashier and were given 10% discount as service recovery............... We are so lucky!!
In conclusion, dont bother to put this restaurant is your bucket list unless you are up for such adventure....
Read moreDining at Voce Aimo e Nadia was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, the elegant yet contemporary setting set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional evening. The restaurant, nestled next to Milan’s Gallerie d’Italia, beautifully merges culture and cuisine.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish felt like a piece of art – carefully curated, full of flavor, and beautifully plated. The saffron risotto, in particular, was outstanding: creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. It captured the essence of Milanese tradition with a refined twist.
The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome, enhancing the entire experience.
Voce Aimo e Nadia is not just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Italian culinary heritage, creativity, and hospitality. I would recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in a sophisticated yet heartfelt dining...
