Brigida - Cucina Napoletana — Restaurant in Naples

On our last day in Naples, we wanted to enjoy a nice meal in a pleasant restaurant. At first glance, we thought we had found the right place until we were served by a certain gentleman. He clearly does not seem too fond of tourists, as his attitude was rather cold and even arrogant :)

When we were ordering food, he interrupted us because he apparently heard a bell signaling that he had to deliver an order to another table. Although he apologized, I do not consider this professional it gave us the impression that he does not value his guests. He also did not bother repeating a question we had not understood and simply walked away without any explanation.

The food itself was fairly tasty, but we left very disappointed by such unfriendly service and had to cheer ourselves up afterwards with gelato. On the other hand, the rest of the staff who served and cleared tables were friendly...

We read multiple excellent reviews, which is why we reserved and were looking forward to something different and great in Naples. This place unfortunately does not cut it. Pretty restaurant with an owner who is attentive but unfortunately misses on all other aspects. The food was nothing more than average. The maiale was nothing more than fat in a tasteless sauce. The pasta was swimming in a bitter sauce. The best dish was the baccala carpaccio as a starter. The service was rushed, giving the impression they needed the table, although they didn't rush us out. One major recommendation to the owner would be to make sure the charging dishes (the ones placed on the tables) should be clean and not stained with finger prints and properly cleaned. Overall this restaurant trying to stand out as a notch above has much potential but lacks in refinement in...

They got the potential. But but the execution was mediocre. The food was not on taste. For example the fried anchovies (starter) and the grilled beef tagliata (main course) needed salt. The tiramisu was too liquid and not creamy enough. The service was not friendly. They where very busy and I had the feeling that it wasn’t all under controle. To get the salt for example was a difficult job. I hope this was only our night because I see potential. But our experience...
