Cento gelato artigianale italiano — Restaurant in Naples

On our recent family trip to Naples, we got a nice gelato here to cap off a wonderful evening of walking and sightseeing.

The gelato was good, as most gelato is in this neighborhood, but unfortunately, the service was troubling.

My family and I are not native Italian speakers. I am the son of an Italian family that emigrated to Canada in the 1950s. My Italian is weak at best with poor grammar and syntax. However, we make an honest effort and try to be respectful as we are guests in a new country.

While in Roma, Firenze, Capri, and Cosenza, we had nothing but good experiences with restaurant staff, taxi drivers, and our Air BbB hosts.

The woman working at this establishment was extremely impatient and actually, rude.

Having our pronunciation corrected 5 times with a subtle roll of the eyes was disappointing. She was comfortable taking our tourist dollars, but disgusted with our broken Italian.

In the moment, we apologized, repeatedly, and did not correct her failings at the English language.

I get that retail is a difficult job, and that tourists can be a challenge, but we were nothing but passive, positive, and apologetic.

For some strange reason I was craving a fruit smoothie. I get that it might not be their specialty here but I feel like I didn't even get a basic one here. I ordered the fruilato, in the picture it looks fruity, full and pink. I got a cup that wasn't full, blended with ice, lukewarm banana apple smoothie that didn't look that special. On top of that it didn't fill the whole cup! At least an inch less than the top. I just feel a bit ripped off for the price I paid (3.5 euro) Customer service was a bit off as well as the staff didn't really make much of an effort to communicate. Gelateria veramente top. Il gelato è buonissimo , saporito , denso e cremoso. Un vero gelato all'italiana , con all'interno anche dei pezzi di frutta , come nel caso della banana , che consiglio a tutti gli amanti dei gusti frutta fresca . Con la coppetta da 2€ dopo un bel pranzo a base si pizza e birra sarà difficile da finire per molti . Gelateria consigliatissima .

You have to go to London or New York to find so much Egyptian history. The exhibits are of disarming beauty. On the other hand, we could not expect anything else from the most Egyptian city that can be found beyond the borders of the land of the pharaohs. Tienes que ir a Londres o Nueva York para encontrar tanta historia egipcia. Las exhibiciones son de una belleza cautivadora. Il faut aller à Londres ou à New York pour trouver autant d'histoire égyptienne. Les expositions sont d'une beauté désarmante. En revanche, on ne pouvait rien attendre d'autre de la ville la plus égyptienne que l'on puisse trouver au-delà des frontières du pays des pharaons.
