We were ushered in, very friendly chap, seated quickly and had fresh water and a menu almost immediately. Our waiter was lovely and explained the fish of the day however as it came with a head I decided to go for the meat mixed grill.OMG a carnivore delight! So much it was impossible to finish. Bruschetta starter, very fresh and delicious, a couple of pasta mains and a risotto all winning dishes! A bottle of a fantastic house red, a tequila sunrise and a pina colada to wash it all down. Portions were a fair size, not matching the size of the mixed grill , but still large enough to accommodate the hungrier of patrons. As a personal chef and foodie I have traveled all over the world. happened upon this fantastic restaurant, my very first night in Palermo. The warm, genuine and friendly greeting from the host, most definitely set the tone! I enjoyed delicious and generous portions of cocktails, the seafood Happy Hour offering and a brilliantly different Caesar salad with shrimp!! I’m certain that it’s the Sicilian way!!! During my five day stay in Palermo (two weeks in Sicily) I am definitely looking forward to a return visit to Appeti and dine again! We had dinner at Appeti the other night. Our tour guide Davide recommended the restaurant so we went. It was definitely one of the best meals of our trip. Orange Salad was delicious. Spaghetti Vongole e Cozze was the best one I've ever tasted. So flavorful. The Spaghetti Le Sarde (with sardines) was very good also. And for dessert the deconstructed cannolo was to die for.
