Il Bar in Piazza San Domenico — Restaurant in Palermo

We were quite dissapointed about Il bar. The waitress was welcoming, but there was a private party so we couldn't enjoy the rooftop view which we came for. This would not have been a problem if the food and drinks were good, but we took a 'happy hour cocktails + snacks'. The cocktails were average & the snacks were not tasty at all. A bit of style over substance. Located atop the Rinascente department store, it did not have the views we were expecting- think because the seats are too low and the barrier around the bar too high.

Only a few seats of the adjoining 360 Sicilian restaurant get the good views. Enter via the department store when store is open, otherwise use the life on the San Domenico square side. 330ml Ichnusa beer was €5 and a glass of Nero...

This rooftop bar is a hidden Gem, it's very calm and charming, the most amazing part was the service, Casper assisted me during my visit, he was very kind and gentle specially when I said I don't eat a certain meat he made sure to replace them with options that suit me.
