My friends and I went here for a brunch. We approached the terrace and were obviously looking for a spot. It was 5 of us it was more difficult. Instead of helping us they were getting annoyed. So much that a short haired waitress had irritated and rude comments. First about how we are in her way (in English) and then passive aggressive that she doesn’t know what games are being played (in Italian as she didnt know I speak Italian). We were taken to the garden and given too small of a table when a group at a bigger table was leaving. Chairs were very wet from rain and nobody helped us wipe them. The other waitress serving us was not kind and looked annoyed. We had a whole conversation about 5 glasses for water. She brought only two. We ordered 5 food items and she forgot one of them. Out of two mimosas only one was brought. Worst thing is that she wrote down the order. Good thing is they didnt charge the second mimosa. Out of all food items we agreed that the salmon toast was the best, full English breakfast was nothing special and the eggs were not as great as expected. My cappuccino was not great.
We were looking forward to this brunch and were very disappointed. The service was absolutely horrible and the prices dont justify the food quality. I am not sure if we were treated like this because we were tourists or they just had a bad day but it is absolutely unacceptable. Spend your money...
Read moreDecent enough coffee, but very strange and offputting behaviour from staff. There were a total of three people sitting inside when we arrived, as a two person party. We chose a table which had four chairs, because it was close to the wall and we had a few bags (other tables would have meant us clogging up walkways for staff / other customers with said bags). The waitress came over and asked us to move and take a table for two. When I pointed out they weren't very busy and agreed that we would move if they needed us to, she was very snappy and rude to us, saying "tell me then" by way of asking for our order, then staring daggers at us and repeating herself when we took a moment to respond. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this really rubbed me up the wrong way. They had SO MANY tables available, and we were only having a coffee (max 20 minutes). We had also agreed to move if it became necessary (spoiler: it didn't). We were made to feel that we were an inconvenience, as paying customers on a very quiet afternoon. Tip for the owners: How welcome you make people feel directly impacts whether those people will come back. Consider impressing that on your team. Needless to say, I...
Read moreWe came here mid afternoon desperately looking for a place in the shade and to get something refreshing to drink. This place looked just right for us. All four of us got settled down and ensured that out two dogs in tow were comfortable. But unfortunately a young lady came out in a bit of a panic and told us that they would not be able to serve us as they were closing in 10 minutes. This was just after 3:30 p.m.
However the ladies in our party weren't prepared to take no for an answer and went into the establishment to check, visit the restrooms and get water for our thirsty dogs. There, they were given a different story. No problems in ordering some drinks, coffees, including the excellent caffe shakerto and bottled water, and then taking them outside under the shade of the parasols. Which is exactly what we did.
All's well that ends well but it would have helped to have a consistent approach to dealing...
