Even though the food was delicious, one lady from the staff was abnormally rude. I would like to start off with the fact that we are Polish, yet the rude and disrespectful waitress started talking shit about us with her colleague calling us the ,,Russo Ukraino” which ruined the whole atmosphere of our lunch. We felt extremely offended and unwelcome. She then continued to be very rude and continued to talk shit about us with her other colleague, just because of a wrongful assumption that we are from Russia, and even if we were, we are still costumers that deserve to be treated with respect - especially since we were very kind regardless of her behavior . This is an extremely upsetting example of xenophobia and discrimination which should not bo tolerated. I really don’t think that such person should work at a restaurant or yet any other place where kindness and empathy is expected from a person. If anyone from management would like to draw consequences from her actions I think I need to leave a description: she was a redheaded women with glasses and a ponytail. Once again I would like to underline the fact that the food was delicious but I believe that she should not be working at this place, because she ruins the whole atmosphere of a truly great restaurant and makes her guest...

I recently visited Grano Libero Ristorante senza Glutine in Pisa, Italy, with my girlfriend, and we had an amazing dining experience. One thing that stood out is that the restaurant specializes in gluten-free dishes. At no point did we feel restricted because of this; in fact, my girlfriend found the food more enjoyable and easier to digest because of the gluten-free options.
I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara and an espresso, while we shared a Tiramisu for dessert. I must say, the Spaghetti Carbonara was the best I’ve ever had in my life. The dish was perfectly balanced – not too heavy, but also not too light in flavor. The pasta was cooked to perfection, not too al dente but also not overcooked. The bacon added a delightful touch, with some pieces being crispy, which created an interesting texture and flavor. At first, the portion didn’t seem large, but it was surprisingly filling. The price was more than fair for the quality and portion size.
The espresso was also exceptional – probably the best I’ve ever had. This might have something to do with being in Italy, but regardless, I was impressed. I would definitely return if I visit Pisa again, and I highly recommend this restaurant to both tourists and locals.
The freshly baked gluten-free bread served with olive oil was delicious and perfectly complemented the meal. The chef and the waitress were incredibly friendly, answered all our questions, and spoke excellent English, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy, not too loud, and the location was perfect, close to everything but still peaceful. Overall, an incredible experience. I would love to visit again!

Read moreThis restaraunt is on a quiet street away from the noisy main one. Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. Ordered the vegetarian lasagne which had delicious gluten free lasagne sheets with pumpkin layers. It came with an incredible cheese sauce - delicious! The waiter also brought out gluten free white bread slices as a starter which we didn't order but I think it was complementary. Best gluten free bread I have ever eaten! Warm, tasty (it actually tasted of bread!), and an incredible soft texture with a crispy crust. They brought out 6 slices for me and two others, it was an unexpected treat! My parents had burgers and enjoyed them but the bun bread wasn't nearly as good as the sliced bread. Slightly tougher and drier. The chickpea veggie burger tasted great! Lots of choice on the menu and the starters and dessert options looked great. We were so full from the bread that we sadly couldn't...
