We had dinner here while visiting Riomaggiore. We were lucky to get a table as soon as they open for dinner, and we didn't have reservations. This is a Michelin star restaurant, but the service was a bit disappointing. The server was nice, but we spent 2hrs here.... Longer than anyone else that started their dinner the same time with us. Everything for us took longer to come, the food, plates, dessert, check, etc. In the end we had to rush to leave just so we don't miss our train out. As for the food, we quite enjoyed the bread with balsamic and Olive oil. We ordered anchovies to start and we enjoyed it. The fish ravioli was not bad, but fish inside a ravioli was interesting for me. I was surprised to find a plate of fried food when I got my fresh sea of the day order. I did not realize the entire dish is fried, I thought it was only fried vegetables! Anyhow it was ok. We finished the meal with tiramisu, which took way to long to arrive. We had to ask for it again, and for charged twice for 1 dessert. In the end, I think this place is ok, we probably just didn't order the right dishes, and the service could have been better. And cover fee was too expensive.

There is something that doesn't add up with this place. You either promote it as a Michelin star restaurant and then the food is up to a reasonable standard otherwise you just pay for the sake of the location, the view and a good service but not for the food and then it shouldn't be so expensive. Ordered starters and then two mains, one of the mains got mixed and they fixed it quickly and gave us a complimentary glass of wine. Don't get me wrong, food is alright but I would expect a lot more for the Michelin star and also considering what you end up paying. I would also improve the attention when you get there with a table booked. We had a booking at half 8 to later understand that they do just 2 shifts, the second one starting at 9. That's absolutely fine but I think they should communicate that a little better otherwise you are left there by the door waiting and not knowing why you are not being called.

We had a very beautiful view of the harbor, but unfortunately the service overshadowed the experience. The young woman who served us was polite enough but seemed moody and overall unhappy in her job – and that really showed. The food itself was fine. The highlight was definitely the seafood fritto, served with a Salsa Agrodolce (brown sugar and vinegar sauce). The combination was surprisingly very good, but at €25 for such a small portion, it felt far too expensive. What we found unacceptable, however, was the mandatory tip of €4.50 per person. This was not stated anywhere in advance, and compared to other restaurants in the area, which usually charge €1–2, it felt simply excessive – especially considering the quality of service. Overall, a mixed impression: beautiful location, decent food, but the service and pricing did not match the setting.

The food was amazing here! Unfortunately the service did not match. We waited an extremely long time for our food, over an hour and a half/ 2 hours for some of it. While people who were seated long after us had ordered and received their food long before we did. Our waitress disappeared, never checked on us, or let us know what was happening. She made eye contact with me probably 5-6 times and never came over. Not to even ask if we needed another round of drinks. She extremely rude, and seemed bothered by us even being there. The manager had to come and explain to us there was an error in the kitchen. (no biggie, things happen) Finally after an hour and a half we were asked if we needed anything else by the manager (not our waitress) we got our second round of drinks. Our first two entrees came out (1 of them was being split between my boyfriend and I) I asked if my food was still on the way and she said “its coming.” in a very sassy tone and walked away. That was the last we heard or saw of her. She never came back the rest of the night. Finally a half hour later, 2 hours after ordering it, my food came. Which was brought by a different server. (I guess we irritated our waitress by existing?) I ordered the sea bass, it was delicious and worth the wait, but not worth being sassed and feeling like a bother the entire night. As we left our waitress shot us a dirty look and didn't even say goodbye or sorry. None of the food was discounted and we paid in full. Which honestly wouldn't be a big deal if our waitress wasn't so rude. I would never come back here again to dine in, at-least with that waitress. The young man who brought us our food was kind, and respectful, I would request him as your server if you dine here.. I know the tipping culture is different here and most people don't tip, but we 100% would have tipped her if she handled things differently, we always do. No matter where we are traveling. If you get a short thin girl with brown hair as your server I would go ahead leave, order take out, or request a different server if you want a...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing, and it had nothing to do with the food.

The food itself was fine — not extraordinary, but decent enough to enjoy for a casual dinner. Unfortunately, the staff completely ruined the experience. There were three women working, all of whom were shockingly rude and unprofessional from start to finish. They barely spoke, only answering with one-word responses, as if serving us was a burden. The entire time it felt like they didn’t want to be there and made sure the guests felt it too.

We arrived at 19:40 and were immediately told the table was reserved for 21:00. That’s fine — we agreed. We ordered appetizers, which arrived, but our main courses were forgotten. We waited more than 25 minutes, and they only came out a few minutes before 21:00. By that point, we could clearly feel the staff staring at us in a hostile way, as if we were in their way rather than paying customers.

The most shocking part happened at 21:03. Without us even asking for the bill, one waitress threw it on our table as she walked past and said, “Your bill, cause I need the table” — and then walked away. Not a hint of politeness, no apology for the wait, nothing. Just pure cynicism and rudeness.

Even if the food had been incredible, I would never come back here. Dining out is not just about what’s on the plate — it’s about the overall experience. And in this case, the staff’s attitude was so unpleasant that it overshadowed everything else. There are plenty of restaurants where you can eat well and actually feel welcome — this is not...

Saw this place on Google with decent ratings and reviews so decided to have dinner there with my girlfriend and it was rather disappointing. Not only the food wasn’t good, but the service was horrible. Definitely not worth the money. Only reason I’m giving it a 2 star instead of One is because of a the nice decoration and view. Waiters were rude and unprofessional. In terms of hygiene, waiters don’t use gloves and only their bare hands to cut and serve the breads. I was shocked to see one of them using their hands to cover their mouth while coughing, then touching the bread and serve it to the table near us. Therefore we didn’t dare eat the bread, and one waiter tried to be humorous by saying if you didn’t finish the bread you can’t leave. Another example of unprofessionalism is we asked for a small plate to share our meal. The waiter could just go to the next table that is occupied and half way eating their meal, and take the plate from them and hand it to us. Food wise, the oysters was very small. But they compensate by giving us 2 extra pieces and it was fresh. The seafood platter was horrible and expensive. Squid and octopus was burned and cold. Few prawns were not fresh. And the food was cold when it arrived at our table. Wanted to order dessert and coffee at the beginning, but rudely told by the waiter to order it after the meal and was...
