Update: The owner below has added some false information in their reply. Bottom line is we were told we would still be able to get to 3 villages within the allotted time even if we were picked up in La Spezia. This was not the case. Every other boat was easily passing us, and this is your only electric boat, so the environment isn't really a priority here. Below she says we were able to get off in Manarola but this is not true. We were taken from La Spezia and next time we got off the boat was in Vernazza. And the boat driver had told us we would have time to have lunch and shop. He told us that. Again, buyer beware. Use your credit card. If they won't accept it, they aren't trustworthy. No discount or partial refund was offered to us. And now they start making up lies about my family arguing before getting on the boat.
Horrible experience. We were promised visits to 3 towns by boat and maybe even a chance to swim. night before they changed the plan to a pick up in La Spezia instead of Riomaggiore but said we would still be able to do all the things promised and drop us back at Riomaggiore by 3pm. Total lie. They gave us an electric boat and took us around Porto Venere (by sea only, no stop). After 2 1/2 hours we still weren't at the first of the five villages. The captain kept saying it's an electric boat, so slow. Every other boat around us passed us easy. He said our first stop should be Vernazza, and we asked how long it would take to get there from that moment. He said 45 minutes. 90 minutes later we docked in Vernazza. He said we should walk around, have lunch, and be back in 40 minutes. Like that would ever be possible in an Italian restaurant at lunchtime in the middle of summer. We told him we weren't coming back. We took the train back to La Spezia. Didn't have time to stop in any other of the 5 villages. Do NOT book with these people. And if you do, make sure you use a credit card and can dispute the charge if they lie. If they tell you, you have to use PayPal or some other method that gives you no recourse, be forewarned. If they are honest, they will stand by their product. But...

Read moreThis was a perfect tour on a perfect day. We were greeted at the at the waterfront by Francesco who explained the options for boat tours. We decided on the 1.5 hour private tour. We ended up adding another half an hour to see all five cities of the Cingue Terre. Why not! The boat was quiet, comfortable, and the captain. Roberto was very knowledgeable and fun, and did a great job showing us all the highlights of the cities and history of the coast. We lucked out and had great weather and a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to see the coast up close on a private boat. Well worth the...
